Tommy Reese is ready for a reunion with CBK

I would be shocked if it wasn’t Sloan.
that makes 100% the most sense.
Denbrock is the oldest OC Kelly has hired since he hired Denbrock the last time.
That being Chip Long and Mike Sanford are both young former Kelly Ocs who had success with Kelly and then less elsewhere. Both in positions we could easily hire them from.

Dino Babers. What he did with Eastern Illinois and Bowling Green offenses were outstanding. Syracuse wasn’t awful, just never got over the hump because it’s in the New York boonies.

It should start and end with Joe Sloan. I know he’s not a big or proven name, but the guy is going to be a rock star somewhere. Plus promoting him keeps the recruiting in tact and his work with the other QBs stays consistent.

Todd Monken will be forced to say “no” and be willing to pass up a lot of money.
BK’s relationship with Monken goes back years.
Makes too much sense. Hopefully Monken isn’t happy in Baltimore

Sloan. If not go after Missouri OC

Sloan is going to feel some type of way if it’s not him. That said, he likely would never be a candidate if he were outside the program. Kelly will be in a tough spot

That’s not the coordinator I was worried about

Give Hankton a bump and let him continue as passing game coordinator, promote Sloan to OC, and hire a TE coach who is an incredible recruiter. Profit.

Hankton and Sloan as co coordinators

I trust BK to make the right decision. After all he has a lot riding on it. He obviously is a better judge of who would be best fit. Part of success is getting your pocket picked. Saban manages to successfully reload annually. Lot to consider like fit, recruiting ability, XO talent ie football IQ in calling plays, developing and spotting talent. Lot of tangibles and intangibles. So even with all that said it is still a crap shoot. I thought it was the end of the world when Joe Brady left. After National Championship we lost both coordinators Jimbo Fisher and Dave Arranda. So just got to get back in the saddle. Rember none of these guys actually put on pads and helmet and go on the field.

I hope Joe Sloan.
I fear Rob Sale.

Sloan would be my pick. I wouldnt be surprised if Reese came back to be with BK. Also the rumor about the Washington OC is interesting.

I’m fine with Sloan promoted. We should bring in an old OC or HC as our tight end coach though that can help guide Sloan and give an elevated title if that’s the case.

The longer this drags on, the more it leads me to believe it’ll be either Rees or Sloan. Rees is tied up with the Michigan prep and should they win that game, the NC. If Kelly strikes out on that, Sloan is the lazy fall-back hire.
