Why not check for steroids in female athletic competition?
Posted by TigerPlate on 5/30/25 at 7:23 am
Testosterone is a steroid hormone derived from cholesterol. Testosterone is a naturally-occurring hormone made by the gonads. So why not set standard acceptable level for testosterone for competition in female athletic events? If your steroid level ie testosterone is above a certain level you cannot compete in a female event. Even in women with certain medical conditions the ovaries are not going to come near producing what a functioning male gonad can produce.

Where is his body guard? Them damn stairs can be deadly! Or maybe he showed learn how to block a punch. Or better yet throw one after one has landed. Ah who gives a s**t anyway.

People believe what they want to believe. Just as in Trump Derangement Syndrome, it does not matter what is true and what is factual, what matters is what is perceived to be true. The main stream press merely regurgitates what the Party line tells them. Pravda and todays press share many similarities.

Supreme Court Justices what a joke some of them are. Well more of an embarrassment to the term Justice. Just another political appointment to get a certain political point protected. This is not how it was supposed to be. Constitution was supposed to be black and white. Justices were to interpret based on the facts. No longer is it this way, just political maneuvering. Judicial reform is the only way out of this quagmire the country is currently in. It has become readily apparent that the courts have become what the king was in earlier times, actually inserting themselves into almost all parts of everyday life. When this happens personal freedom and liberty suffers.

So now the authorities are able to pick and choose which laws they want to enforce and which laws that they just look the other way. I used to think that if it was a law it needed to be obeyed. How naive of me.

I watched that debacle of a speech last night on Fox.
This guy would make a great talking head for MSNBC.
He has not one independent thought, just reads what speech writers put before him.
The absolute absurdity of his accusations is mindboggling.
So Trump is responsible for the Mexican Navy not understanding the mast was too tall for the bridge. Duh. Lake Chuck's 210 bridge got hit by a similar incident back in the day. Mast with high tide too tall to make it under the bridge. Ships and bridges just don't play well together

Breaking the immigration laws and then demanding due process?
Posted by TigerPlate on 5/7/25 at 8:18 am
This is a situation of a Perfect Storm arising in our USA. Does due process require a judge, jury, prosecutor, defense attorney to decide the issue. Is the verdict then subject to the appeal process etc. Or should this be handled as a simple immigration matter? The subjects entered the country illegally and broke the immigration law. That being the fact are they automatically afforded the rights of US citizens with habeas corpus and the rights and protection of all the Bill of Rights. Supreme Court will end up adjudicating this for sure. The problem becomes one of logistics. How do you provide for tens of millions of trials, how do you pay for the billions of dollars it will cost, how do you apprehend and detain the millions of people charged. It is unrealistic to think that this is even possible. How this issue is resolved will have a profound impact on the country. How the immigration laws are enforced makes all the difference in the outcome.

Toast:
slang : someone or something that is finished or done for. That is Canada without US backing.
Synonyms for "literally" include:
Actually
Precisely
Exactly
Really
Verbatim
Undeviatingly
Unerringly
Indisputably
So maybe I should have chosen one of the above but I am not sure. I have my BS from LSU in chemistry so far as I got in English class was basic grammar and two semesters of English Literature. Maybe I should have suffered through a few more English classes but with Grammarly and AI rewrites I think I am OK without them.

Canada should not overplay their hand. Without US backing they are literally toast. Their very existence is dependent on the backing of the US. Their very defense is dependent on USA. Their economy is likewise. Canada is considered a social democracy. It features a mixed market economy with a robust social safety net, combining elements of both socialism and capitalism. The country has strong welfare programs, taxes, and healthcare systems that reflect its social democratic values. Historically, social democracy has been a significant part of Canada's political landscape, with the Social Democratic Party of Canada being one of the earliest proponents of this ideology. The libs want the US to be more like Canada. The problem with that is who is going to pick up the tab if the USA is also riding in the wagon rather than pulling it.

Both countries have Nukes and both are overpopulated. So guess whoever shoots first wins this conflict. Although I never really understood how you can Nuke a country you share a border with since the fallout is at the mercy of the wind.

It makes sense if he figures he is not going to see the field. No fun spending you entire career warming the bench when you could see the field at another school.
Hypothetically The PRC launches an invasion of the USA?
Posted by TigerPlate on 4/26/25 at 6:51 am
Hypothetically The PRC launches an invasion of the USA? They enter the country by boat from multiple ports around the USA. They wreak havoc on our government and our citizens. By the democrat's due process theory, we need to afford them due process to repel this invasion and remove them from the country. So how exactly is it any different when people cross our border illegally from multiple countries with the intent to break the law and do harm to our people and country? This due process from a foreign invasion is insane thinking.

Why does anyone care what this has been has to say about anything. She last served in the Senate in 2009 and last served as Sec of State in 2013. She was a disaster in every position she was held. She really belongs behind bars rather than enjoying the good life after all the havoc she has brought on this country. Why can't these dinosaur politicians just take their place in Shady Acres retirement center where they can play bridge and pickleball like the rest of the has been politicos.

Would rather have Lloyd Austin as Sec of Defense. He was AWOL from the job and no one even missed him. His do nothing WOKE agenda and his DEI policy just about destroyed the greatest military on earth. When you think about it Alejandro Mayorkas, Merrick Garland, and the rest of the dream team Democrats cabinet did more to undermine our Democracy than we will ever know. This assault on Trump's cabinet is ludicrous when compared to Bidens bunch deerlick misfits.

Maybe I am wrong but I wonder if a lawsuit against the SEC would make this rule null and void. Seems like the courts have ruled in favor of the student athlete against the NCAA and the Conferences on most occasions. Of course law suits are expensive so would depend on who was willing to spend the money.

If it is not about race, then ask yourself if this was about two white guys or two black guys, would it even last longer than a day on the news cycle. Of course it all about race in that is what the race baters want to make it about. Kamello admits to the stabbing and murder. Kamello has not a scratch on his body so his assault on unarmed Metcaf is murder any way you look at it. The press will try to alter and change the narrative but in the end the truth will prevail. The attempt to make the victim the guilty party is just mind boggling. Just another report of a story not the story.

Sorry back in the day in BR if you wanted to vote in an election you had to be a Democrat because there were almost no Republicans. My whole family were Democrats. They were conservative, God fearing, law abiding who would not even recognize the Democrats today. Even JFK would not fit in to this version of the Democrats. Till the Democrats adopt a less radical and illogical radical platform, it will not matter who they run for office because most average citizen do not want terrorist, illegal aliens getting government benefits, voting in our elections, open borders, men in women's sports, accepting flawed and failing education system which leaves students totally uneducated, and Objecting to deporting villains. Accepting extreme left leaning value system as normal. Not to mention Federal Judges thinking they were given the right to rule the country from the bench. Keep it up and those insane policies will keep you out of office for a very long time.

The elephant in the room is the one trillion dollar trade deficit we have the Chi Chongs. The European Union has a mere $235.6 billion deficit with the USA. Now why is it no one seems to think this might be a problem?
