Bringing in a quarterback with 3 more years of eligibilty seems like a win-win for everybody. Georgia gets depth, and the quarterback can legitimately sit behind Carson Beck for 2 years and then compete for the starting job as a junior.
Bringing in 3 transfer receivers when you're already a tight end heavy team is the one that I cant understand. But in Kirby we trust.

I think we were likely TE heavy because we had Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington the past few years. I doubt we are as TE heavy without them.

I think we can do both. Part of the 12 formation with the skill position players we have is that it allows us to run the ball while also having a great passing threat. I think the combo of Delp/Luckie/Redell should still allow us to go to 12 a decent amount.

I really think its as easy as that and people might be reading more into it than they should be. More than anything, I think it means Puglisi is probably seen as more of a project and Kirby wants to make sure they have someone else at #3 for 24.

You can do that in 11 personnel.
It's funny that people think 12 is magically better at running the ball.
But when 12 doesn't work... people complain that there are too many people in the box and we can't run.
It isn't the formation that makes us run the ball well. It is execution.
You can execute in 12 against the extra defender.
Or you can execute in 11 without the extra defender.
It boils down to blocking and leverage.
