Schedule all 4 non-conference games against the SEC since 2 wins wasn’t enough?
Try harder to keep their QB from being injured?
Add an extra game to the schedule to be the first 13-0 regular season P5 team?

Now every defense going forward is going to make an even more concerted effort to knock out the opposing team's QB. It is now a legitimate out-in-the-open part of everyone's gameplan.

BTW, to answer your question: nothing. This was mostly pre-determined before the season. There's too much money involved in CFB now to leave these games to chance.

Sadly this is the correct answer. After Bama ended Georgia’s 29 game winning streak, the committee altogether watched one of the worst halves of college football I’ve seen all year.
