I'm excited for OU to join the conference. Most Mizzou fans are just bitter because they've beaten the shite out of us for most of our history. Also, the "we won't be a wallflower" in conference expansion comment from their then school president was the nail in the coffin for the Big 12.
But I respect the program and they'll fit in the SEC very nicely.

Might I remind you in 2007 Mizzou was number 1 in the BCS rankings. We certainly would have won the national championship but-for losing to OU in San Antonio. Big Bob Stoops cried all week about how Mizzou didn’t respect them which was completely fabricated.
It was borderline cheating to get his players fired up based on false pretenses. He single-handedly robbed Mizzou of our national championship.

"We would've won a national championship had we not lost" is a level of cope I don't know that I've ever seen on the rant. Ole Miss would have had a natty every year had we not lost.

I didn’t want expansion, period. Heck, I don’t even like Arkansas or South Carolina being in the conference, let alone Mizzou, OU, Texas and Texas A&M. Personally, I think A&M and UT belong together, so I wanted to see them reunite. If expansion was inevitable, there were worse candidates than UT and OU, but there were better ones as well.
I would have preferred Florida St, Miami, West Virginia, and Clemson over Mizzou, A&M, OU, and UT. However, OU and Texas, this year, were much better prizes than, say, Virginia Tech, NC St, UNC, Memphis, Okie St, Baylor, TCU, Louisville, Tulane, or Virginia.
So, expansion wasn’t my first choice, but among the potential teams available for expansion, we could have done significantly worse than Texas.
