Win and they stay number 1

Lose to Bama on a neutral field and they do not fall past 4

This is the only way it happens, some of you are letting your emotions make you believe something illogical will happen

It won’t, the playoff committee has proven that before

well, you're wrong. History has shown us that non-champions are generally at the back of the line compared to 0/1 loss P5 champs.

If Michigan, Wahsington, FSU, and bama win, we are likely out.

Could you BE any more incorrect? What I said above is l literally using logic (9 years of precedent and history of decision making by the committee) while you and others are using emotions ("they just can't drop them that far, I mena they just CAN'T it won't happen!!!!!!")

Oh this will be fun. Please tell us what scenario you're referencing so I can point out why it's not applicable to this year.

I think so. And it’s strange seeing a #8 team injecting themselves into the conversation in the last week. They are the lowest ranked one loss team (unless you want to include Tulane. LOL!).

They would need multiple P5 champs to have 2+ losses (which is exactly what happened two years ago).

I love it when tards throw down absolutes on a very much debatable topic.

(You're wrong, btw.)

We haven't seen a situation like this before.

We haven't seen a no. 1 fall that far after losing.

We haven't seen a conf. champ take a backseat to a conf. champ if they both had one loss and certainly not if the conf. champ had 0 losses and the non conf. champ had one.

UGA has no chance if they lose.
In past years there were multiple TWO loss teams playing on championship saturday that basically guaranteed a spot even losing the championship game. that is not the case this year.
If Texas wins-in
If Mich wins-in
If FSu wins-in
If Oregon and Bama win then there is the decision to be made. Who has the better win? who has the better loss? who has a stronger resume? that is what will be discussed.
You're hoping they get in because you are nervous about Bama. You should be pulling for Washington as much as anybody.

Why the hell would Georgia get in the playoffs if they lose to #8? That would just prove they aren't one of the best 4 teams. Isn't that what is keeping Bama behind Texas is because they lost to them?.........4 teams is an utter shite process way to pick a champion.

Saturday is a playoff game. Win and we are in. Lose we drop to #5 and first team out. Bama wins they jump to #3 or #4. Pretty simple actually from a Georgia standpoint.

This only works if Michigan and Florida State lose. Otherwise, this is an elimination game. If Alabama wins, they're in. You can't put Alabama in and leave Texas out. If head to head doesn't matter, then what's the point in playing the games? Michigan isn't losing to Iowa. Oregon/Washington winner is getting in.

If bama wins a close game... they go no higher than #5 and at on the outside looking in. What are they looking at, UGA sitting at #4.

A lot of scenarios will play out this weekend.
Personally I think Georgia wins anyway.
Oregon will take down Washington. FSU falls in OT to Louisville. Texas wins.
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Oregon
4. Texas

If the win, they're in. If the lose they're out.

That applies to both schools.

I think it would be difficult for the committee to put Texas in over Alabama on the basis of Texas having the head to head win, and then also leave Georgia in the top 4 over Alabama if Alabama has a head to head win over Georgia.

There are plenty of other scenarios. It all depends on what the other teams do. This isn't rocket surgery.

What if Michigan, Washington, FSU and Texas all win. Where will Georgia be ranked then? Michigan, Washington and FSU would all be undefeated conference champs. No way 1-loss non-champion UGA is ranked above any of them.

Then you would have 1-loss conference champ Texas, which would be ranked above 1-loss conference champ Alabama based on H2H, and then UGA behind them (again, based on H2H).

UGA would come in at No. 6 in that one particular scenario.

Personally, I don't think that's what's going to happen, but it is one of the many possibilities.

Pac12 champion is getting in 16383926392%. Guys this isn’t complicated. Oregon or WA is guaranteed a spot. Michigan is guaranteed a spot. Only 2 left for grabs. Need Florida state to lose or that is a 100% lock for them getting in. 1 spot left ! Whose it gonna be
