Why would alabama deserve to be in over Georgia if they won a close game?

Let’s not worry about this. We sat out Bowers and McConkey against Tech.

They will
Be good to go.

Alabama would have a better collection of wins against a better overall schedule. And they'd have a conference championship whereas Georgia would not.

Nobody deserves a damn thing, Stidham8, and I'll be damned if you try to prove otherwise!

We don’t need two non-power conference teams in the CFP.

If Louisville beats FSU, Bama beats Georgia and Texas wins against OSU. They're both getting in along with the winner of the PAC and Michigan.

The only way this comes in to play is if Michigan, Washington, FSU, Texas, and Alabama all win, the odds of which are pretty small. In that scenario, there will be a tense debate. If Michigan, Washington, or FSU lose, then the debate becomes three way (if Washington loses) or moot (Alabama and Texas both get in if FSU or Michigan lose). So, you are picking the one possible scenario where Alabama wins and might not get in, just to mess with Bama fans, as a means of coping with the disastrous state of your program.

No matter what happens this weekend, we beat your sorry, whiny, self-deluded butts for the fourth year in a row, and next year will be no different. And there ain’t shite you can do about it.

Very simple. A Bama win over #1 Georgia NOW, trumps a early season loss to a lesser ranked Texas. This prove Bama is one of the best 4 teams.....And for the record, ALL the highly ranked rivalry games last week were close in final score.

Lots of scenarios to be settled this weekend, but one thing’s for damn sure, and that is that allbarn ain’t part of the discussion.

I am so over this debate. I no longer even give a shite. I didn't expect 11 wins this year much less 12 and a shot at the playoffs. I am happy no matter how it plays out.

I have no idea. We’ve seen the #1 team lose games many times before and only drop to #4 or #5. UGA is the two time defending champ. There is zero reason to drop them from the top 4 even if they lose. Assuming said loss isn’t by three TD.

And there is very little justification to jump from #8 all the way to #4 simply because you beat the #1 team. You’d also need the help of other teams ahead of you losing.

the numbers are there to sneak Bama past Oregon. the reality of that scenario just had not sunk in yet to the media. the media is pushing big time for Oregon and Nix.

Because they beat them

Texas and Alabama both should be in over Oregon if all 3 win. Oregons schedule is a joke.

You sound new to football. Well known for a decade that end of year games carry a lot more weight than early season games.

Because the 2nd best team in the Big 12 lost to South Alabama by 26, UCF by 42, and beat Central Arkansas by a mere 14

It’s a trash league that is one Texas away from being the Sunbelt
