Texas and Alabama both should be in over Oregon if all 3 win. Oregons schedule is a joke.

The CFP committee lists the criteria they use to evaluate teams. Texas is superior to Oregon in every data point (strength of schedule, best win, resulte against a common opponent, etc.). If Texas gets passed over by Oregon (who we dominate in every criteria) and Bama (who Texas beat on Bama's field by double digits) I look forward to hearing the spin from the conspiracy theorists who say Texas rigs everything.

Honestly, I think Alabama is a better team than Texas right now. I dont think that trumps the head to head though.
If the committee were to pick Bama over Texas, it would make the regular season meaningless.

Texas does deserve to be in over Bama providing they don't lose saturday.
If Bama beat UGA then Bama deserves to be in over UGA.
Simple as that.

You folks are scared to death that Bama gets in.

No shite. Based on Texas' performance over the last few years, they are the most likely to render all this chatter irrelevant.

They can always fall back on a worse loss or the blind resume test…

12-1 conference champ with a loss to #7 who is also a conference champ or…

12-1 conference champ with a loss to #12 who has two other losses on their resume???

In that scenario Bama gets in not to mention the eye test and when the losses happened. Head to head only plays so much.

Yep. And with the expanded playoffs and shrinking number of power conferences, college football should be stressing out of conference games against power conference and de-stressing conference championships. The Big10, Big12 and ACC championships are just kind of silly this year. GA, AL, TX, MI and FSU had just scheduled another fun out of conference game or another conference game.

lol not buying it.... only one problem with your Bama math is YOU LOST TO THE TEAM YOUR COMPARING BY 10 POINTS AT HOME! TARD!

You’re a dense one. A week 1 loss, even in a head-to-head matchup, can have minimal bearing on the final ranking. If TX and AL both win Saturday, Alabama’s resume will be much stronger, with more, and better, wins over currently ranked teams, and Texas will have a loss to a lower-ranked team.

If Alabama beats Georgia, they may jump Texas. If Alabama beats GA by two scores, they most likely will jump Texas, regardless of how bad Texas beats OSU.

Lol typical auburn fan not understanding how good coaching works....you see little buddy when you have an actual coach whose good at coaching, not a clipboard recruiter. You have teams that can improve greatly from the first couple of weeks to the last

Also head to head isn't the only metric. Blind resume says bama has better wins, less offensive losses and tougher sched in general

Early next season, Texas is scheduled to go to Michigan. If Texas wins on Saturday, and gets passed over by Bama, we need to cancel that Michigan game and schedule a scrub. The CFP committee will have proven that early season OOC games are meaningless.

I agree 100%. At the end of the day Bama lost at home to Texas. I think Bama beats Texas today but that does not matter.

Texas won AT Bama when it counted. Can't win at home you can't complain if left out.

Oh really? If Ole Piss had beaten Bama in September, who'd be playing in the SEC CG?

If we let you set the goalposts now it's funnier watching you try and move them later. Hope this helps you understand

Alabama would have a better collection of wins against a better overall schedule. And they'd have a conference championship whereas Georgia would not.

And the overall mandate of the committee is to
choose the four best teams at the end of regular play. With a win over Georgia , there is no way Texas
could be judged the better team.
