a couple of other programs.

Why in the world would a guy drawing 76 million free of charge want to work again the first year.

Apparently, though, he will draw his severance even if he gets another job. Is that right A&M fans? 76 million and not predicated on other work. wow

Some men want to be remembered for something other than finding a way to make a ton of money.

*edit*

I'm not one of those men. I would be quite happy with 76 big ones. My stroll into the sunset would be a decades long stretch at that point.

It’s hard for any of these guys to just go out to pasture.

The self-made people who become wealthy in this world are not the kind of people who shut it all down while they can still work hard. It is surprising that you haven't figured this out yet.

Most of the time people with the mindset, work ethic and ego to put themsleves in a position to be paid $76 million aren’t satisified with just chilling all of the sudden. That same mindset, work ethic, ego, whatever it is will drive them to take the next challenge even if they are financially set for life.

As much as people shite on Jimbo Fisher (or any of these coaches making multi million salaries) by and large you don’t luck into those positions. These guys have grinded (not literally except BK) and worked their arse off particualry early in career. Most can’t all of the sudden shut it down all of the sudden.

He's paid that money no matter what. Also "revenge" and proving to everyone you're not a total dumbarse are very motivating factors. I imagine Jimbo is still pretty conceited and would like to prove to everyone how good he is. I think he'll flop horribly if he jumps right into another job. He'd be doing it for the wrong reasons.

For all my intense anger and frustration with Jimbo, I never thought he was a pure opportunist. I do think he wanted to win, but he just couldn't roll back or alter his deeply ingrained, outdated, and very ineffective coaching beliefs.

He is a football guy, and I don't see him sitting at home for long.

Yep! Woodward really laid the screws to Aggie. He was playing 4d chess while the Aggie boosters were making fake National Championship plaques

If he doesn't have to look for work... if I was him, and I am not, he has more money, I can sexually satisfy my women, I'd take some small time job and show up on the sidelines sitting on a throne.
