Edit 11/21/23: Look like our AD wants a sitting head coach instead.

So you're going to hire a 34 year old first time head coach who has been a co-defensive coordinator for 5 years?

What could go wrong?

Train him up for Alabama. Takes over for Saban.

And then he'll leave for Bama when Saban retires.

You could certainly do worse than him.

Schumann also learned from Saban and Kirby that you need total control over the program, staffing, recruiting budget, etc.

You think Bjerk will agree to that? I saw a guy who would be an epic PITA to work for.

I hope so. I have no faith in the money to make that hire. Schumann and ERob are my top two. Followed by DeBoer (who isn’t coming), Norvell (also not coming), and Sumrall.

I also like Fisch, but he is the next coach at FL

Copy cat league. Never fails. These million dollar ADs are clueless. "Lanning worked out for Oregon so let's go get Schumann!"...

Oregon plays in a shite league. TAMU plays in the West. Good luck.

I know Kirby and Lanning were never HC's before but it's still a gigantic risk.

Schuman would be really solid. One of the best recruiters in the country. Check out the ILBs that Georgia's signed last winter and for this winter.

Been with Kirby since Day 1 at Georgia. Really relates well with the players.

I guess you could borrow him for a couple seasons.

Every time I get embarrassed by a fellow LSU fan an A&M fan bails me out.

Thank you.

A&M is a bad Job. He should wait for a Big time job to open up.

Would be a huge mistake to take him as your head coach.

So, it's possible.
