But, but, but I was told we owed him too much money. I would add Dabo to the list, interesting timing last week when all the info about him being unhappy and the BMDs deciding to dump Jimbo. Not that I'd want Dabo, just interesting is all.

Look forward to loving whoever it is before calling for their head after they secure an extension.

I’m here to eat some crow, just the other week I said I figured he’d be back even if we went 6-6, thought he’d get at least one more year to knock the buyout down a little.
But I’m also here to demand some others eat their crow too, I told y’all we weren’t locked in for another 2-4 years with the guy. Big Money Ags were gonna find the funds, at some point it becomes more expensive to keep him around. Plus the longhorns and blowu coming in…. Pressure was on.
Off the cuff, I like Elko, but need to do my homework on some of the other names being floated around.

Dabo would be worse than Jimbo. The dude straight up refuses to use the portal.
That said, I'm pretty surprised they actually decided to eat shite on his contract. I'm shocked they did itw/two games left and after a blowout win. Last time a HC didn't finish the regular season Emory Bellard "resigned" midway through the '78 season.

Lanning has to be the top choice. Can we get him? IDK.
Elko is a name veryone is familiar with. Elite defense. Cut his HC teeth at Duke and has done admirably.
I wonder if it’s too early for Schumann. He seems like a rising star.

I told you he would be fired. So no crow for me. It’s a good day - hope springs eternal

I would consider Willie Fritz at Tulane. The guy has won everywhere he's gone and what he's done at Tulane w/their resources is really impressive.
I like Lanning and Elko too but they'd 100% demand Jimbo style 100% guaranteed deals to leave their current situations and I'm not sure the boosters can stomach that right now.

I am beyond shocked they let I’m go. But I am happy about us moving on. Excited to see who we end up with

As an aside, I was on campus last Monday for a conference, and some enterprising young Aggie had taped "Fire Jimbo" signs on every glass doorway that I saw. The kid must have been up all night working on that.

this was probably weeks in the making but we all gotta dream, ain't we?

Anyways, this time around, hopefully we're smart with the numbers given and contract length
