So Kelly lied last week when he said they told him it was reviewed? Or is he lying this week?
Also this has been said but he sent someone back out who was concussed? The hit was so vicious when it happened he still sent the player back out?
Regardless of your viewpoint on the hit the guy is talking out both sides of his mouth.

Kelly knew he had a concussion yet he sent him right back out on the field. I bet the NCAA and SEC will be interested in that.

The issue is targeting has two infractions in the penalty.
One is a penalty when a defensive player is "head hunting", putting the player he's hitting at risk. This is the helmet to helmet targeting calls.
The other is a penalty where due to how he's trying to tackle, he's putting himself at risk. This is where a defensive player lowers their head and launches toward another player with the crown of their helmet.
The latter is a penalty because defenders doing that put their own safety at risk. It's not about the player they're hitting.
Simply put, don't coach your players to lower their head. It's not acceptable tackling technique anymore. We don't want any more paralyzed defensive players from having the crown of their helmet hit another player.

Gotta try to rally support after this disappointing season. Doesn’t take much to get the simple minded coonasses back behind you. Smart move by Kelly. Avoid substantive conversations about the season.
Some might argue that Kelly needs a defense with an edge cause whatever he’s rolling out this season ain’t it.

I can't stand Kelley or LSU, but everything he said here is true.
The way the targeting rules are being applied right now, you can have hits that would get you ejected in the NFL in the 80s allowed, while guys who are just trying to make a tackle accidentally make helmet contact with ball carrier (who also lowered and led with his head) gets you ejected.
Take the teams and coaches out of it. The rule is absurd
