Why did you pick 1996 as a qualifier? That specifically cuts off a lot of our good years. Do Ole Miss’s record too since 1996, then go back to 1986 to prove your point. Lol

It was done for exactly the same reason you drag a gaudy assed teaser or several of them...cause the flash will get your bait hit.

Also let's be very clear here there were exactly 3 times in your entire history you didn't consistently pick up 4+ losses a year.

1. 3 years in a row when Bear Bryant was there (1955-57)
2. 3 years in a row when Emory Bellard was there (1974-76)
3. Once Jackie Sherrill implemented widespread cheating (1985-87) and RC carried on the tradition (1990-95) that ultimately killed the SWC

I think you mean the years you got caught cheating like crazy over and over and over and over and over again.

Go back to your first season in 1894 & your average record is...

8&4.

Aggy was "better" in the early 90's because Arkansas had just left the conference and you and Tejas were basically playing in the Texas version of the Conference USA

Did you know that from December 31, 2022 September 8th 2023 that aggy won 100% of their football games. That’s almost a whole year .

I mean, I feel like 1996-2023 is enough to highlight a trend though…

He probably could have qualified it better like “during this period of mediocre performance.” It’s not uncommon to identify a trend then to state the years of said trend. Trends don’t always start on decade break points.

Going back 80 years, they’ve had 4 or more losses in 60 of them. It’s really just who they are.

Other notables:
LSU 39/80
Bama 24/80
