There was no NCAA tournament the COVID year. We wouldn't have made it, but it never happened.
I beg to differ. When the shutdown ended college basketball in 2020, Alabama was the last team on the court at the SEC tournament.
And in my opinion, the last team to leave the court at the conference tournament site is always the conference tournament winner, thus we would have earned the automatic bid to the NCAA in '20 due to the circumstances.

Who you got for SECT MVP, Galin Smith or Javian Davis?
(In this fictional scenario, bleach-blond Alex Reese has been ruled ineligible.)

fricking awesome. These better be here to stay as a regular part of the rotation.

Beetle sets the SEC record for fouls in a single tournament and takes home the crown.

Those uniforms bring a tear to my eye. Thats the only logo Bama should ever use.

If Beetle Bolden and Daniel Giddens both started and were not pulled until fouling out, who makes it deeper into the game? Does either even make it to halftime?

It's funny, going back and looking at that roster, we had Kira, Petty, Shack, Herb, and Reese, with Beetle off the bench, and still went 16–15.
Decent lineup in hindsight, I guess just no experience in Oats system yet and virtually no depth, especially any with length (Juwan Gary and Rojas were redshirted that season due to injuries; Q also had to sit).

If we win three more games this season:
coaches with [20+ win seasons] since '92
Oats [3/5] • 0.600
Grant [3/6] • 0.500
Gottfried [5/11] • 0.455
---avg--- [14/32] • 0.438
Hobbs [2/6] • 0.333
Johnson [1/4] • 0.250

Just a friendly reminder that we're currently living in an amazing timeline, and outside of maybe Gottfried's early-2000s run, it's arguably the best one of the past three decades.
Years 2/3, 4, and 5 also have had vastly different rosters. The unknown has been a factor pretty much every offseason. He is an elite roster builder

The majority of my Alabama gear has that logo. All my hoodies except two have the old school logo

I like the logo but i dont like the lettering below the numbers.

Keep the shorts, burn those jerseys. Old school jerseys should not be V-neck, and the TIDE should not be under the numbers like that - looks like a bad Walmart attempt.
Do love the fact that they are at least attempting something new. Every blue blood in America has 3 or more uniforms these days. Bama has no reason not to in bball.

Yeah, that part of the design is a little weird to be honest. Would have preferred them just use 'Alabama' in that same font and made the numbers larger while shifting it down. Would have also preferred larger trim. A little disappointing overall.
Love the shorts though.

I just looked at the ESPN Analytics For our remaining games. Was pleasantly surprised that we are favored in EVERY game. The closest winning percentage is 60.8 to 39.2 at florida. We have a slightly better chance of winning at Kentucky.

Arkansas was the last game at the tournament. Only 2 games were played.
OM/Uga played at 6pm
Arkansas/vandy played at 8:30
The next day it got cancelled.

Tide 100.9 (from a few years back)
BEST LOOKS IN UA MENS BASKETBALL HISTORY
(I wasn’t connecting the dots earlier but they are honoring the 2004 team Saturday - to coincide with the vintage/retro game)

I too loved the shorts for Saturday.
The good news:
The not so good news (although the players benefit so there’s that) - these gym shorts currently on the site are $74.99. Can’t imagine the retro shorts being any cheaper.
