I wouldn’t. I’d take Stevenson first. Then Nelson. Then Mo D. If I’m forced to choose.
The leap Stevenson can make this offseason I expect to make him an incredible player. You could see flashes late. I definitely want Nelson back, especially because I think we can play him with better big men and hopefully that helps him stay out of foul trouble

You are 1000% correct. Stevenson proved he can stroke it and get hot. He had flashes of solid defense. Another off season to develop and he would be an absolute star in this system. I’m taking Stevenson first too.

I mean, can you imagine if we had a legit rim protector and could actually let him play a true stretch-4 and not force him into the 5 role?
After this season under his belt, dude would be a beast.

quote:The problem is all players are one-year rentals now, so the question you have to ask is which one is better now and which one will be better next March? Anything past that has to be taken with a huge grain of salt because the likelihood of someone jumping to the NBA or taking a bag and going somewhere else is way too high.

It's so much worse in basketball than in football. The good news is that there aren't that many players to keep track of in basketball. Imagine getting 70 new players every year in football.
You really do have to root for the program and for the coaches. You can't get too attached to any players. It's worse than what Kentucky has gone through with the 1 and dones because those guys are going on to better things in the NBA. Bama had guys transfer out to play at programs that didn't even make the NCAA tournament (Quinerly/Nimari) or to be backups on good teams (Jaden Bradley).
It's all so tiresome.
