Lunardi has us 10th in his bracket projection which makes us the 2nd 3 seed, thats the only “poll” that matters imo.

Yup, top 25 in college basketball is meaningless. The voters don’t really think like the committee so it doesn’t really correlate well to the ultimate outcomes for playing the regular season.

Musselman is 11-21 in his last 31 in conference.
Nate is 27-3 over his last 30.

Seriously though this is why I am glad we don't just recruit BPA first and try to figure out how they can play together second. At some point there is going to be no way they can play well together and you're going to get a trainwreck of a team.

I know the tournament is the end-all, but are those elite 8s really worth being pissed off for most of the season?

After watching the Ole Miss / Auburn game I really want us to find a way on Wednesday. It used to just be KD Johnson and Evan Cardwell that made me really dislike them even more than normal... But I have to say, I have grown to loathe Johnni Broome as well. He has something to say to opponents after every shot, rebound or defensive play he makes and if he isn't talking he is constantly making the "too short" gesture after every basket he gets in the post. He gets away with a lot of what seems to be obvious taunting, really want to see us make them upset

The really are the most self congratulatory team in history. Over simple things too.

I get it's annoying to watch but it's just a result of the type of guys Bruce recruits. He almost exclusively recruits guys who have a massive chip on their shoulder. 90% of the guys on our roster believe it's us against the world and that nobody believes in them.

There's a perception that Bruce is just a great recruiter, and he does always have 1-2 true blue chippers on every team.. but it's more that he recruits well to his philosophy..

And the guys he recruits are certainly prone to the annoying, self-congratulatory BS Every AU game I watch I always imagine how annoyed I'd be to be an opposing fan

It's genuinely goofy that Bama is ranked behind AU, USCjr., and especially Kentucky.

Would hate to see little brother put too much pressure on themselves Wednesday night and underperform.

When they finally realize that Cal loves money too much to retire and they're going to have to be the ones who file for divorce, what are they odds they Pruitt him to get out of that insane contract? Has to be pretty good right?

It is what it is. It certainly makes you not want to lose to Auburn because you hate to be on the receiving end of the taunts, but it makes the rivalry great. Alabama has had a few talkers. Quinnerly was sneaky about it, but he was always chirping. Brandon would occasionally let you know, but he seemed to be much more light hearted and having fun. This year's team is pretty composed, Sears get's fired up, but I don't ever really see him taunt the opponent, but he will give the quiet sign to the road crowd every now and then. Not all players are like Jaylin Williams and Herb Jones in demeanor and I get that, but those guys are easier to stomach losing to if you are forced to take the L.

I think the game will come down to foul trouble and free throws. If they shoot 20 more free throws than us and Nelson and Wague get in foul trouble its gonna be hard to win. If fouls are called evenly I think we will win.

We need to get off to a good start. As nice as Sat night was, we didn't really do that.

State looked bad too. They didn't look like they cared much.

I hope it's close, but I seriously doubt fouls are going to be called evenly in Neville. I anticipate they are going to win the free throw battle and truth be told, if they feed Broome all game (he should touch the ball on every half court possession, blows my mind that he doesn't) they will probably draw a good bit of fouls on us. All of that said, Rebounding and turnovers will define us Wednesday night. We hammered a good rebounding MSU team on the boards Saturday. We need that same performance Wednesday. Beat them on the boards and limit turnovers and we are tough to beat.

KD and Quinerly were essentially the same guy right down to pissing off their own fanbase for their antics and erratic play

When we played them at home it was called evenly, we shot 19 free throws and they shot 18 but yeah I dont expect it to be like that at their place.
