All that money and Texas recruiting advantages just to go 7-5 every year. Not to mention 5-7 last year.

He is the biggest con man to ever get a head coaching gig at the level he has a college coaching gig. He was never highly thought of by anyone who knows anything about CFB....he rode Bobby Bowden's coat tails, drove that Cadillac into a Yugo and managed to convince the poor saps in College Station that he knew what he was doing. It ain't the first time new money in Texas has been snookered into buying a bill of goods...

He's Larry Coker except if Coker had inexplicably been hired by some other school for huge money instead of getting fired.

Agreed . . .but neither coach and neither program would define an SEC championship game appearance in which your team gets utterly routed as the actual goal for the program.

Correct. LSU measures its program based on conference and national championships.

Aggies however, define their program on a regular season win to finish runner up in their division:

Which brings us to the ultimate conclusion. Good luck with that under Brian Kelley.

What are you talking about, man? Mark Jones swore on air that the epicenter of the college football world was now in Boulder, Colorado.

By that token, the Coward Station 39ers will never win a big 3 championship because they haven't yet.

SEC championship game appearance
Brian Kelly did this in year one on a rebuild though.

What has 8&4 done in Jimbo's tenure.

I’m not a huge fan of Kelly, but tamu fans trying to trade barbs about underachieving coaches is downright laughable.

In his sixth year in the SEC, Fisher has zero first place finishes in the West, and zero ten-win seasons. Kelly checked both those boxes in year one.

But congrats on that 2013 Florida State national title. If Jimbo doesn’t work out, Les Miles is available. Maybe then you can boast about your coach’s 2007 championship.

But still, at the end of the day, Texas A&M is the laughing stock of football.

I honestly think A&M is a bad fit for most head coaches, including Jimbo. It's difficult to field a championship team there with the culture they have in place.

Perhaps he does not care about his legacy, and I wouldn't blame him with all the money he has made, but I think he would have brought championships to schools like LSU, Auburn, Florida, and maybe even Tennessee. If he was considering his legacy, taking the job at A&M was a major mistake on his part.

I do not think he is overrated.

A&M has always had those advantages and always been about like they are today.
