I'll take the current version of LSU over a Less Miles offense all day every day.

You at least feel like you always have a shot at winning with a great offense.

With a great defense and terrible offense, it always felt like the game was over once a 2 score lead was built by opponent.

Bad offense makes me yell at the TV. Bad defense makes me want to jump off the roof.

Great offense and no defense almost always lose to teams with any kind of defense.

Atleast with a great Defense they might score for you or put your offense in a position to have to be not trying to not get points.

Better to have a great defense. You can stop the opponent and force them to punt AND there is always the possibility of scoring in D too (scoop and score, pick six, and safety). Yup better to have a big nasty D.

The former. And it’s not close.

Great defense and no offense is more frustrating to me as a fan.

I way rather watch great offense and no defense if I had no dog in the fight.

But having seen both at UGA, tough to say which is worse as a fan. I think I actually enjoyed the good defensive teams whose offense struggled a little more. But it's probably because the W/L results were better.
