The heisman typically comes from a team that plays in the CFB playoff. That isn't LSU this year.

We would have to get in the playoffs for him to have a chance

you need the playoff teams to lack a strong candidate.
Caleb Williams, Johnny Manzeil, RGIII and Lamar Jackson won in years where the best teams didn’t have a strong offensive player.

But see when a QB leads a team from the wasteland to the playoffs, he is a shoe-in. That is Penix
Posted on 10/14/23 at 10:44 pm to ColoradoAg
Penix is the only qb playing as good as Daniels.

Then why is Williams on the list?

He should be but he won’t. It’s wild to me that nobody is mentioning him as a Heisman finalist right now. They are still stuck in Sanders and Caleb Williams
But Alabama is the only one to take him down. No other team left with good defense. I believe Alabama will win the West. UGA is the other team if LSU wins the west division. Mizzou put a fight against LSU, but doubt will win the East division.

If you include rushing he’s had 5 400 yard games with some of them 500 yard games
Joe burrow had 6 in two years.
This years offense has put up more consecutive games of 500 yards than 2019 lsu did
To be fair, your 2019 team didn't have to keep the starting offense in the game NEARLY as long as 2023 LSU does.

Dude, it's the other way around.
If you guys think Daniels is better than Penix, then shite I don't know what to say.

He’s definitely better than Travis and Nix
Penix is the only player in the country right now that may deserve it over Daniels.

Daniels overall stats is right there with Penix and better in some categories. Don’t know why y’all refuse to give Daniels any credit when he’s literally the most dangerous QB to stop right now lol

You think he’s better than Penix, Nix, Travis and Bowers?
Unequivocally, yes

It's not that I'm not giving him credit. He deserves the things and praises he gets.
I agree, he's definitely top 3 right now. But to say he's better than Penix is a little suspicious.
If he balls out on Bama and Penix struggles with USC, then he'll def move to the front.
