They're irrelevant.

Interesting. Even A&M is 6-2 over the last 8.

I think so. It's a combination of a few things:

- The huge Kelly contract and big buyout.

- Losing some of the top talent in Louisiana to other Unviversities.

-Realization that despite embracing NIL more than any other college in the U.S. it is not going to work out very well for LSU

- 2 more schools coming in with at least 1 of them having almost unlimited NIL resources at their disposal.

- Bullets flying in Baton Rouge making it an undesirable place to let your kids go.

All of this is reflected in attendance that is down and the apparent need to have a DJ at games in hopes to generate some kind of atmosphere I guess.

Slow downward trend.

They beat Bama last year. Everything else is just gravy.

I wonder how long the scoreboard will be left open next Sunday? I am guessing they just throw away the keys.

I love threads like these. UGA is new money (they are THE program right now, won't take anything away from what Kirby has built) but they didn't do anything for 40 years before that with all the opportunity in the world.

Texas A&M hasn't done anything for damn near 100 years. Even Mizzou has made it to the SECCG.

LSU is pretty bad, and has been up and down for a few years, but outside of UGA and Bama, every other SEC program wishes they had the 20 year run LSU has had. 4 Championship games, three titles, 7 SECCG appearances, 5 titles.

2001 SEC Champions
2003 SEC/BCS Champions
2005 SEC West
2007 SEC/BCS Champions
2011 SEC Champions / BCS Title Berth
2019 SEC Champions / CFP Champions
2022 SEC West

In fact, since the creation of the SECCG, only six teams have won it, four have went without winning, and four haven't went at all....

The best part is the LSU dogpile on Aggie for Jimbo and his buyout the past few years, only be be staring down the exact same situation with BK ??

Hahaha, nah, just recognizing where we were 2022 and where we are today. You cannot replace a secondary the second time in as many seasons without hiccups.

LSU has the most national championships in the 21st century than every college football team not named Alabama. The team we gave our coach too. We still win

I’m well aware of our situation. If Miami and Nebraska can slip into mediocrity, then any school can. Time will tell.

I stopped melting about LSU football after 2019. 2020 was the ridiculous COVID season, 2021 was the end of O. 2022 was Kelly's first season, and LSU still won the SECW. 2023 the best offense LSU has had in a while other than the obvious 2019 offense is paired with the worst defense LSU has had in 30 years. We'll see if Kelly can get the ship back on course. If not, oh well. CFB has changed with NIL and will ever be the experience it once was anyway. I will continue watching, but melting is a thing of the past for me.

Gotta love how a post about LoSerU turns into a thread about A&M.

I don't know if it is just me, but every time rocky1 posts something, I feel like I am the smartest person on this board.

Winning 2 Natty's this year in other sports kiiinda lessens the blow of losing 2 games to ranked teams. I'm sorry you only have football to look forward to

I haven’t seen as many of them chest pounding and screaming we’re in the playoffs since Saturday.
This board has actually been sort of quiet and boring around here without them.
