Just got home from the game. The stadium was rocking. UGA fans were actually cordial and have big worries about their offense ahead and said AU/Freeze has a chance to be a beast soon.

We all wanted to win this one but we ran out of gas at the end. For those not at the game it was hot in the lower bowl and field. No breeze or clouds, the defense was sucking some wind by the end of Q4.

I can’t help but agree. They laid their guts on the line today despite being outmanned.

There's gonna be a lot of days where you do this and come away empty handed....

Our guys played hard and I am very proud of them. Thanks so much to all the fans who showed them some love today. We are on the way up and have reason to be hopeful. War Eagle!

Can we start with some better short field 4th and 1 type plays, and maybe not rushing the snap on those 4th and one plays that result in high snaps?

Would have liked to have seen some motion on those plays. We did on a few run plays but always felt like it was a TE motion to get a wham block or something and they were keying hard on the motion side. But hindsight is what it is.

Giving up so many 3rd down and long plays on defense took the wind out of the crowd. It kept UGA in it.

They won third down in second half.

Tough loss.

Simpson should be all SEC.
Oscar Chapman should be all American.

On third and 1, why pull Robbie out?

The receivers? I’m not sure why to do. Guys must begin to make plays,

Thorne? It’s just sad. It’s not all him, but some of it is.

Why do we blitz to the side the RB is on? They picked it up so easily.

Makers, I noticed on one play, I think Battie was lined up to the left of Thorne, their safety has creeped on the right, ball is snapped Battie ran left out of the backfield, and Thorne was sacked, not a chance to even look downfield.

Two plays later Georgia has the same situation. Their running back came up to his stance, scanned the line, when the ball was snapped he crossed over in front of the QB and jacked out blitzing player coming from the other side of the line.

Just seems to be a lack of awareness at so many positions, just common sense things we miss.

The half of them on D.

The other half not so much and I'm not just considering QB play. As a unit they suck, from the desperation of alternating quarterback play, to the line not holding up to even the little sisters of the poor, to the receivers not earning their scholarships.

(Thanks, I needed that)

“You’re so right Carl.”

This is precisely what I was commenting on.

The protection is paramount to green the ball downfield.

However, we don’t get separation very often so the best we can do is set protection and put up a 50/50 ball many times.

They impressed me. I expected the game to be over by the second quarter. The guys played their asses off. I am proud of them.

Not my section.

My son was losing his mind. He spend most of the 4th yelling at our section to stand up!

"It's the 4th quarter, tied game, minutes left, against the #1 team, they have a 3rd down, AND YOU'RE SITTING DOWN?!?!?"

Blew our mind. If you're this type of fan, stay the home. I can not grasp why you would hike your old arse up to the upper deck to sit and be quiet during the 4th quarter. Seemed to be only a few sections in between the 30 yard lines.

Side note- uga fans are still trash and just some classless folks. We had dozens at our tail gate and I watched more than one just throw trash directly on the ground, when 5 feet away there is recycling and a trash can. Also a group behind us in the stadium raining F-bombs for the first quarter, luckily the left before the 2nd qtr. Lots of little kids around during their tirade. That just is trashy to do around kids.

We fought like hell. Can’t find fault there. They had Brock Bowers and we didn’t. That’s the story of the game.

The team did a lot better than I expected so it give me hope that it will come together and find itself and maybe not go down the bitter road of 2012 and Harsin seasons.
