I overall think Travis Hunter has the highest upside in the college game for the next level. Great player.

But… I’m tired of hearing about this damn hit and how dirty it was. You see hits like this every weekend. Hell even worse hits where the defender launch helmet first into players. Running back and QBs get roughed up at the bottom of the pile on almost every play.

Some one explain to my why I should be outraged about this late shoulder hit to the midsection. Got ESPN spewin there was a bounty on Hunter and the CSU player should be suspended. Like I said on games of no rooting interest for me I see hits later and much worse every weekend. So some one convince me why I don’t see it like the talking heads about how bad this situation is cause I just don’t see.

Defender wasn’t even looking for the ball, it was clear what he was trying to do. Fittingly he got his ankles broken to give up the tying TD on the 98 yd drive at the end of the game.

ESPN is just a big circle jerk and they pump the same stories over and over and over, talking about the story itself then “reporting” on what other people have said about the story as if that’s news too. Just do yourself a favor and turn it off

Remember this hit from the Florida Safety against Oklahoma in the BCS National Championship?

On the dirty side of hits? Yes

Deserving of so much coverage? No

I'm with you. If it was against any other WR in college football this year, it wouldn't get near as much coverage as it's getting for Deion and Colorado's Cinderella story. It honestly didn't look like a hit hard enough to lacerate his liver. I thought he just had the wind knocked out of him at the moment.

Well when you trash talk the opposing team then you have to expect something may happen. I'm not saying I agree with it or it should've happened. I'm saying you need to expect something when you run your mouth so much.

Watch the defenders left arm on the hit and what he does. Cheap and dirty as hell and meant to injure someone. I don’t want basketball on grass, but that’s dirty.
If it was our player taking that it everyone would be screaming bloody murder.

But he was asking for it, amirite fellas?

I agree if this wasnt Travis Hunter and Colorado you wouldnt have heard anything about it. Hence why you dont hear about Shedeur trying to blind someone with an eye poke.

Hard hit, was a little late but not a hit you dont see often on Saturdays

No one deserves a lacerated liver, but he was talking shite to the other team in pregame. Him getting cheap shotted was going to happen and he’s a tiny arse WR

Y’all remember how much bad press we
got for the chop block our freshmen O-linemen committed on Glen Dorsey? Like that was the first and only chop block ever committed, and ignoring the fact that he was playing plenty dirty that game himself?

It was a very dirty hit. But dirty hits happen all the time in football. The CSU kid who hit him, his biggest sin was the color of his skin. As soon as I saw his skin color, I knew the press was going to demagogue the shite out of that. If it weren’t Deion’s team and Deion wasn’t in the press every second of every day these days, there would’ve been very little said about it. But that’s as plain as the nose on his face.

To Deion’s credit, he defended the kid and called for people to forgive him. The kid has gotten a bunch of death threats.

It was properly called on the field. The idea he should have been suspended or ejected are ridiculous

Gtfo, No you don't. That hit occurred so late after the play, the ball had already bounced some 8-10 yards away.

No player is bracing for a hit that late, it's basically a sucker punch, which is why it is so dangerous and dirty. As a "coach" I'm surprised this needs to be explained to you.

mckibaj, that was a live ball and the hit actually defended the pass and WR ability to catch the ball.

What happened to Hunter was basically a sucker punch unlike that play.

This was still a big story even without Deion. If the first true 2way star in decades were on Ohio St, Texas or USC, this would be reported on extensively.

I was excited to watch Hunter play this year. It's really cool to see a 2way star, just like Ohtani in MLB.

If the Hunter hit is bad enough to get a kid suspended, then somebody betta put Junior Rosegreen in jail

Yes that's targeting today, no doubt, but back then it was just "football."

Hell, tell them to go look at the shot Junior Rosegreen put on that UGA WR back in 2004.
They will shite their pants and forget all about last weekend.
