Ironically, Lamborghini makes tractors.

Oh bitch please. Charlie strong dropped his nuts on Oklahomas forehead. That same coach is the one who lost to Kansas.

OU always start like this, even last year, typically doesn't mean much.

They used to blow out Asuza Pacific, Prairie View, and Abeline Christain before conference play.

UT won its first big game in how long? Then followed it up with a win over all-world Wyoming. The whorns should be No. 1 by the time they play OU.

“Methinks” is correct Early Modern English.
“Me thinks” is dust bowl trailer English.
So, you probably spelled it correctly for your local dialect.

49-0 proved nothing. You beat the worst team OU had since 1999. You beat a glorified HS team. I’d be embarrassed if I was Texas beating an under .500 team.

As far as the game with SMU, the spread was 16. OU won by 17.

I’m taking each game one at a time. Texas is the first true test, unless Cincy or Iowa State pull a surprise.

Guess I should clarify: my post was in response to Eldodroptop crowing about 2022 OU/Texas – one of the whorns' (tiny) handful of wins over the Sooners in the last couple of decades.

OU is 12-8 vs Texas in the last 20 games

could you define “tiny handful” for me?

until we play again, it’s Texas 49 Oklahoma 0 on the scoreboard and Texas leading 63-50-5 on the all time scoreboard

Not a lot of people got to watch the SMU game. I think the spread was only 13. SMU isn’t a world beater program, but both their offense and defense passed the eye test.

People seem to be more interested in taking about Bama squeaking one out against the powerhouse USF.

I don’t care about the win/loss nor opponents - this team is measures better than last years team. Only team to cover the spread in all 3 games if not mistaken. Many teams have stuggled vs lesser teams.

Team is young but starting to understand BVs complex defense. Had 5 interceptions yesterday. They are doing what they should do and have a top 5 offense and defense.

Lets look at some stats and regardless teams these are lretty good

OU’s largest point differentials through 3 games since the start of the Wilkinson Era:

1. 1972 - +163
2. 2007 - +158
3. 1974 - +149
4. 1987 - +148
5. 1956 - +147
6. 2023 - +139

Offense

Defense

This is not a title run year rather getting back to whole again after Stinkin LiaR left the place bare. Its a young team and will only improve yet learn through failure. Being young they will improve throughout the year.

Main thing is a majority of posters here thought Brent Venables was a bad hire but don’t understand what he walked into and is rebuilding. Our defense has a pulse again. Lots to improve on but laready better than Grinch ever was. Offense is so potent. 2nd year of QB and OC. New WR coach is doing wonders. And its a loaded room. Backup QB is a 5*+ and threw a 50 yard dime TD pass in his limited duty.

We will find out iver the next month how much better they are. We have always had great offemse but now oir defense is makimg waves. Stutsman is a Butkus award contender and was national defensive player of the week last week. We were lacking players on D side before. Still not close to where we need to be but are improving with another great 24 class adding more talent comimg.

Thing is, fans like to make knee jerk reactions. Last year some new coaches were praised as gold and others as crap - after one year. But every team is different in what existed prior. Some just need better coaching but have good players. Others have to rebuild from ground up and that takes more time. So those who stated BV was a bad hire have no idea what he’s done to the whole program from inside out. I’ve watched every brick wall get town down and new walls starting to go up. Lots more work to do, but on the right track.

Anyways, thats enough for now and the true test will be end of Nov - where do we stand.

1. Haven't played anyone yet.
2. They looked good last year until Gabriel got hurt. He's no longer hurt.

Meh, they started out winning their first three games:

UTEP 45-13
Kent State 33-3
Nebraska 49-14

...before losing to KSU 34-41 in game 4.

They do this every year and then crap the bed. As an Aggie, I can recognize the pattern.

They do that to everyone.

Coach has no class and they keep their starters in the game too long. They feel like they have to make a statement against shite teams.

It’s a word flex for sure.

Yeah and we should be. Most of us tapping the breaks until Cinci and UT, then we'll see where we are.
