Yeah, I'm seeing increasing smoke from the OU side the last two or three days...and also hearing A&M to an extent. The Texas guys are saying it might not go their way now.

I love it when multiple fanbases get worked up at the end and the BS starts flying...not that Friday is necessarily the end.

Would be sort of weird to lose a five star DL to OU. Seems they always pick us over them. Even the legacy OU recruits. Guess they're can always be an exception or two.

Fun times.

His evening update last night said he was hearing A&M with LSU as the competition???

So many many twists and turns.

We aren’t in it. As a matter of fact, we’re probably running 5th. Kid has just never really warmed up to LSU despite our immense need for DT’s.

It was just one random source so probably means nothing.

quote:

Made a lot of calls over the span of Tuesday and Wednesday regarding McKinley, and th intel is pointing towards the Aggies (Mike Roach and Colin Kennedy have scribed much of the same). A&M has not been a sleeper in this recruitment, we just might have been sleeping on them.

He loved his visit in March.

Enjoyed a return trip in June.

Talking to some sources not quoted in the story, a lot of the buzz is starting to go A&M's way. One source thought LSU and not Texas was the biggest challenger.

I am sure that LSU is trying and will continue until ESD but writing has been on the wall for LSU about two months. I guess I need to familiarize myself with OU boards they're feeling good still

Based on recent trends, I won't be surprised if it turns out to by LSU since we are "out of it."

Dindy chose OU over A&M. Once Riley and his DL coach left he chose A&M. Plus was lied to about playing outside at A&M. No idea how he’s still there.

What stuns me is the sheer gullibility and naivete of the Sooners posters here. I assumed for awhile now they were just forwarding on these urban legends due to bruised egos. I am starting to think they actually believe some of this stuff, which is both amusing and very sad.

welp... no one told the truth to recruits quite like Riley did at OU.

But I guess we should not be surprised given how Sooner fans reacted when he switched over.

GBD on flipping to A&M

quote:

“The OU fans and Texas A&M fans were both behind me and really liked me,” Brownlow-Dindy said. “But when I picked Oklahoma over Texas A&M, the Texas A&M fans were like, ‘Yeah, he’s just going where he wants to go.’ They weren’t really salty about it.

“But when I flipped, that was like a whole different story. I had hate all over the place. People were sending death threats and all that. I really didn’t care about it, but it was a little bit too much.”

It was so much that Brownlow-Dindy turned off all of his notifications and even shielded his parents from the blowback from angry Sooner fans.

“Man, they hated me,” Brownlow-Dindy said. “I didn’t let (my parents) read it because they would have tried to say something. The fans, look at us as toys or like players in a game. But we actually have our own lives. We are actually human. They don’t look at us like human beings anymore. I didn’t want to be a pawn in their game.”

Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy said it was that steady relationship and continuity with the Aggie coaching staff that won him over in the end.

“Texas A&M and Oklahoma were tied until the very last second when I originally committed,” Brownlow-Dindy said. “So, when those relationships were gone and my relationships were still at Texas A&M, the right thing to do was go to Texas A&M.”

And once Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy made the decision to flip to Texas A&M, he didn’t look back. The sour feedback from the Oklahoma fans helped solidify that sentiment.

I don’t get why people get emotionally invested in recruiting. I get excited after a commitment. I hardly recall what schools we beat out of any kid ever at A&M other than he probably had offers.

Stop trolling you been warned ! We believe a lot but not quite as bad as A@M believing they are actually good at football….

If you visit any Oklahoma board, they’re weirdly objective. My guess is 80% thought Stone was going to Miami.

I’d say about half think McKinley is going to A&M. Only reason that number is lower is because the OU DL coach is going to the game he’s announcing.
