Of the ones we have been to, and excluding my alma mater LSU (who I see every fall Saturday anyway with tons of canopies and tents with every SEC color intermingled with purple and gold).

Auburn
Pretty friendly. Nice tailgating. Old school stadium and campus traditional feel and charm with modern updates. Loud stadium. Second best pre-game ;)

Others:
2.Vandy
3.Tennessee

4.Florida
5.Miss.State

Maybe Auburn fans have changed since my time at UGA but they sure weren't nice in the old days.

All about context, too. They're not one of USC's rivals, so there isn't a lot of hatred there. Same thing with UF; my visit was in 2006, the CockBlock game between Spurrier and Uncle Urban. Surreal for a lot of Gators to see the Visor in a different color, and some respect there. Probably would be different now, I'd think.

Lots of visiting fans enjoy visiting Willie B, but UGa fans think we're awful hosts. Dunno.

Vandy, easily. What other fan base gives up most of their seats to the visiting team? Nice folks.

I've always had good experiences... Ol baw placed a nice bowl of tailgate gumbo in my hands last time I was there.

The average LSU alum has been digging ditches or cleaning toilets in dive bars all week. You can't expect them to magically transform into mannered, cultured types come gameday.

Isn't that true of just about any fan base? Yet a LSWho will still make an excuse. Smh

Auburn isn’t bad because you know so many people just walking around.

#1 has no competition!! It's.....

NEBRASKA!! Best football fans in the nation. During the Cornhuskers' heyday, their fans stood and applauded the other team if they happened to pull the upset.

Nevertheless, the past 20 years haven't been kind to Big Red, but their fans still sellout their stadium every week. Cornhuskers fans are there for their team do or die.

#2 -- in my experience, it has to be when Georgia traveled to South Bend, Indiana, to play Notre Dame. Their fans went out of their way to be gracious and hospitable to Georgia fans....it was a real testament to class.

#3 -- this is a hard one, but I'll go with both Ole Miss and Arkansas fans within the SEC. Very nice people, great food and just overall a gracious atmosphere.

Holy shite I would be so embarrassed if an LSU fan had a panic attack from good natured fun.

Visiting fans are often welcomed into tailgates and served food. It all depends on how they act.

My take is that LSU is very hospitable to OOC fans...

SEC fans, depends on the individual and the school...

I'll never step foot in that state again. St. Louis and Fort Lost in the woods left a lasting impression for the "show me" the way out state hahaha

Back when we played them annually OU fans used to joke about the Nebraska fans and their northern plains "niceness". We used to all them the "Stepford Fans". Never got used to it because it was so over the top. A very stiff kind of cordial.

Southern fans who are "friendly" seem to have more relaxed demeaner.

Misery and Vandy

The majority of their home crowds are from the visiting team and their own fans typically arrive late and leave at halftime

We do not forget 1986 and especially 2007 when 90,000 threatened anyone wearing orange and blue. It has always mean't the world to the dawg to beat Auburn. Even Vince mentioned it in 1986.
It took the dawg 19 years to catch up and go ahead in the series, spotted you 1 extra natty just to keep you breathing. Your time is about over.

It may have been a big deal to beat AU in 86 but it sure isn’t now. The Dawgs have owned AU for over 20 years. And if you think Georgias day is about over you are even dumber than the average AU Goober. Georgia is elite and built for sustainability. AU on the other hand can’t even hire a decent coach. One expensive disaster after another. And now Hugh Freeze? Really?
I knew y’all had hired some real dandies, but I never knew AU was into rehabbing disgraced coaches. Got enough hos to keep him satisfied or are y’all bringing in outside talent?

Southern fans are going to bristle when I say this, but it's true.......

"Southern hospitality" has two faces; a nice one that says, "y'all come back now, ya'hear!?" The other face says (after you've left and they've closed the door), "I hope and pray I never seem'em again. They can go to hell!"

Call'em two-faced, hypocritical, whatever....just always be ready for the knife aiming for your back when you walk away!
