Arkansas was probably top 15 back in 2000.
That there is called a trend....

Still blows my mind Brian Kelly left a better program to coach at red stick.

Yeah with all the NC’s they’ve won in the last 30 years! Lol

That bowl record.
That playoff record.

That playoff record.

I agree. Arkansas has a great history.
It’s a shame they aren’t any good any more.

This is meaningless. In a couple of years, when UGA has won its 4th NC in a row, all of these 'greatest programs ever' lists will be redefined.

It does suck that we aren’t as good as we once were but we Atleast haven’t had a losing season the last couple years

I'm over 50 and wonder why Tennessee is so high. Other than their success in the late'90s, have they been historically good? The Seminoles and Miami strung together more and better years in the same general era
Eta: i read the fine print, the criteria is final AP ranking over the last 87 years. The middle to bottom half of this list merely had to be better than mediocre over the Long Haul

Even that was just moderate success. One title in that period.
They were pretty good 30-40 years before then, though.

Tennessee is had good teams not great teams. Their 1998 team was really good.
They winning % is in the 500’s but not glaringly high. No playoff wins.

Usc should be 4.
Michigan has no business in the top 5. 1 title since the 40s, and it was shared. Of course the AP gave it to them after their not having to play Nebraska. Most over inflated team in CFB that has racked up a lot of wins vs average competition and has little to show for it outside of being one of the Midwest blueblood media darlings.

That is one seriously low bar.

If you get a third in a row it will have to be redefined.

A few teams ahead of Miami would gladly trade for their trophy case.
