That is what is newsworthy.

But do you think the Tuohys are not taking legal advice to not make any public statements?
What does this matter. Theyve been sued. Of course they're getting legal advice. And the first rule of legal advice is don't talk to anyone. Especially media.

It was in reply to only 1 side of the story being available when the story is published.
There were no hieroglyphics in my post. Read it again.

No matter what anyone thinks, the movie was a Lifetime TV movie glossed up by Hollywood. Have no idea how it ended up nominated for Best Pic and giving Bullock an Oscar.
They made Oher look like Forrest Gump and Hugh look like Barney Fife. If he had made a pass at Mrs. Tuohy, that would've been real. But they made him look like she knew more about football than he did. It was one extreme exaggeration after another. So, kind of not shocked that the core of it was an exaggeration as well.

The movie is based off the Michael Lewis book. Michael Lewis writes books like “The Big Short”. Seems weird how Oher got no royalties from either the book or movie

The Tuohy's are shitty people. Not a secret around Ole Miss circles.
ETA: looks like the Tuohy's read tRant and I got all 4 downvotes

Oher was extremely embarrassed by the movie. Hell I was embarrassed for him. Terrible movie.

All I know is I would drill the pink out of Sandra Bullock

The Touhy family and Hugh Freeze were besties. This story keeps getting better. BTW, Oher was probably banging Collins.

But my guess is that the Tuohy's are fricked.
On what legal basis, and what is the statute of limitations on those allegations?

Yeah, I'm more interested in what did Michael Lewis know about all of this when writing the book. Maybe nothing, but the movie would not have existed without the book.

So the Tuohy’s had him sign a deal, without independent legal council mind you, that basically said you can’t use his image without $225,000 up front and 2.5% net on the back end, and that isn't exploitation of a black man?
The Blind Side made $270 million net. The Tuohy’s made roughly $7 million just on the movie not to mention other licensing and media deals that haven’t been disclosed yet (but will be).
The Tuohy’s are about to either lose a lot of money through settlement or are going to be completely publicly eviscerated in the media and lose big in court.
They should be negotiating a settlement before this gets any further.
