If an 8 game schedule is permanent, we could make it work with 3 perms.

Forget it. And it's not where we've been, it's where we are going.

We would never leap frog Oklahoma, or A&M for that matter, to get Texas. Ole Miss is obviously taken. We would very likely wind up with Missouri since I think the SEC would keep the LSU vs A&M rivalry going as a consolation prize to the Aggies for not allowing them to pummel Texas every year.

I think Arkansas would be the big loser in this format. None of your traditional rivals (Texas, A&M, LSU, Ole Miss) would play you annually anymore.

I don't see them wanting to get rid of some yearly rivalries. Maybe a 2-10-3 Format would work best.

2 Perms, Played Yearly

10 Rotating, Play 5 Each Year (Every 4 years Home and Home would complete with all 10)

3 Extra Rotating - Play 1 Each Year (Every 6 Years Home and Home would complete with all 3)

In this format, in 4 years you would play every team, go to every Stadium sans 1 Stadium.

Sorry but Bama will get Vandy per sec 12 of the SEC Birmingham bylaws pursuant to the REC clause.

I would take either Florida or Bama b/c of the awesome games the last 20 years or so but I still like playing Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State and Arkansas as well. They need to do everything in their power to preserve some of the great matchups in the SEC: (at least every other year )

Aub vs Bama (Obviously)
Ole Miss vs State (Obviously)
UGA vs FLA (Obviously)
Bama vs LSU (For TV ratings alone)
Fla vs Tenn
LSU vs Aub
Tenn vs Bama
Ark vs Ole Miss (great OT games)
UK vs Tenn
UGA vs Aub
UF vs LSU
SC vs UGA
MSU vs (Arky, LSU, Aub)

South Carolina. I just enjoy our games. There’s mutual respect. And it’s the mayors cup which is much better than the battle line.

I also think there’s an argument for Arkansas or Kentucky.

Honestly, it feels weird we won’t be playing Georgia in 24’. I know they have our number, but damn. I like facing them every year.

They would come around on the schedule fairly frequently but annual meetings would probably be out. The East would be in even worse shape. Who gets South Carolina? Kentucky? Vanderbilt?

I still like the 3 perm, 6 rotating format.
You play every SEC team every 2 years. That is much better than waiting 6 or 8 years to play a conference school.

Georgia. It’s our oldest rival.
