I worry somewhat about replacing both coordinators but I think we’re closer to 8 wins than 6.

I have never picked our win total right, and when I've been optimistic we've won like 5 games. At best.
So. I will try the reverse jinx and predict we go 1-11. That should put us in the 8-9 win category.

7-5 feels where I would land. 8-5 after the bowl game because we’re money there these days.

I’m fairly optimistic about this team and what we return offensively, but replacing both coordinators as well as starting a ton of newcomers on D and in the WR/TE corps gives me pause.
I like our portal haul, but as we’ve seen, it can take time for a team to gel with such a high infusion of new blood. We’re basically trotting out an entirely different secondary this season, but I’m not sure it could possibly be worse statistically than last year.
You have to also figure the injury and karma pendulum swings back our way this season. From the unbelievably high number of injuries to the dumb karma shite (KJ’s Superman fumble being a 14 point swing, hitting the upright on the game winning FG, losing to Mizzou in yet another dumb one, end zone pick and failed 2 point conversion run against Liberty, etc).
I’m also hoping our game preparation is better now that Pittman is feeling more pressure than he did going into last season. In 2022 we came out incredibly flat in a ton of games (Missouri State, Bama, MSU, Liberty, Mizzou) and/or let our foot off the gas and ultimately turned blowouts into coin flip wins (Ole Miss, Kansas).

7 wins sounds about right. I would only put them at 9-3 or better if they had a solid defense but I just don't see the improvement on that side of the ball to get them past that.

I have the Hogs at 8 wins, 9 after the bowl. Odd gamble considering we have no idea who we'd face in a bowl. I have faith, my brahthas.

It would be utter disappointment if we couldn't win more than 7 IMO.
