I can’t help but feel like our SOS and RPI gives us a leg up to host when most all other stats are close but I can also see them rationalizing sending us to somewhere in Indiana like they’ve done before because of two many “southern” hosts.

Order looks like:
Kentucky
South Carolina
Auburn
Alabama
Tennessee
Auburn and Alabama are almost a coin flip.

I think we end with
Hosts : Kentucky, Auburn (making 6 total SEC hosts - Florida, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, LSU, Kentucky, Auburn)
Alabama loses out due to pathetic OOC schedule (Bo's last knife to the stomach). With everything else pretty equal Carolina gets dinged for recent performance. Tennessee isn't even really in the discussion, I don't think. They are well behind in every metric.

If you were just going to pick one, you could make a decent case for any of them except maybe Tennessee.

Tennessee's 4-12 road record is going to kill their hosting hopes. For anyone keeping track, that's the worst road record in the SEC

Think I probably agree but I'd give Alabama the nod over Kentucky despite Kentucky's RPI. Kentucky has lost 6 of their last 7 series. I’m not sure I could get around that just because a mathematical algorithm says they’re #2

Auburn’s 17 conference wins and 5 straight series wins have earned the right to host.

You should add either last 10 W/L or last 5 series W/L as its something the committee really values.
Of those 5, the cocks and tigers are hitting the road next week IMO

BaseVOLS are 15-4 the last 19 games and finished the last half of the SEC 11-4 with series wins vs. three of the top 8 RPI teams. 2 of these series wins are vs teams they are competing with to host.
Probably need to do a little work in Hoover. South Carolina has imploded.

Ya, maybe after seeing the last 10 w/l might adjust it, but who knows.

Loser of Alabama vs. Kentucky tomorrow can stop thinking about hosting.
I also think any team of these five that makes it to Saturday unscathed will find themselves in the Top 16.
Right now, assuming that they don't lose to Missouri, I think Auburn is host #5 and no one else has a real chance unless they get to the semifinals.

and we got bounced completely from the T25. Which honestly seems harsh. I get we are maybe one or two out from the hosting convo, but seasons body of work has us still in the convo...especially with a few wins at hoover. Yet here we are outside the T25

However it shakes out, some deserving SEC teams will get left out of a host.

From that group it has got to be UK and AU right? Bama and Tennessee have played 20 games each against Q3/4

Is a joke for Kentucky to be this high. They are 1-6 in last 7 SEC series. They should not be a top 10 seed.
