LSU pays $1.8 million for new DL coach

Hired Jimmy Lindsey from South Carolina, where he was making $475,000 per year, to a 2 year deal for $750,000 per year plus paid his $300,000 buyout. Lindsey's DL group were ranked #93 and #117 against the rush his 2 years at USC. Thank you and congratulations to LSU.

The level of D-line talent that he has to work with at LSU is significantly better than that of USCe. I see no problem here.

He had 2 5*, that were both top 10 recruits out of HS, and numerous 4* to work with at USC. He is a really nice guy personality wise. I think he will be a better recruiter at LSU than he was here.

Actually USC fans are quite ok with this. We got the DL coach that we wanted before Lindsey and we wish Lindsey the best. Like I said he and his wife are really good people. I just always thought a program of LSU statue would have their pick at elite coaches but hey he might turn out to be one.

You do realize that it’s mostly the D-line’s job to penetrate and occupy space so that LBer’s make most of the tackles, right. Sorry that your LBers and overall Defense sucks. Won’t have that problem here.

I actually said BK was a good hire and knew he would do well. Lindsey is a nice guy and wont rock the boat with other coaches.
