Each of the past three seasons, Arkansas lost to a team in the tournament that I would describe as the best team we've played all year.

Baylor, Duke, now UCONN.

Waking up to see the Tennessee lost to FAU further confirms it.

The SEC isn't good at basketball yet.

The SEC is very good but not the best.the league has unmatched defense and athleticism. The shooting is what lags behind (on average of course Bama and Mizzou don't lag here)

Not sure how losing to a damn good Uconn team makes the SEC "not that good"

I don't think that's the case. SEC just put 3 teams in the Sweet 16. That's pretty good.

Lol fricking pigs do this anytime they lose a game they’re supposed to lose.

“Everybody else sucks but us!”

You people are the dregs of society. Leave the fricking conference.

How LSU beat Arkansas in basketball this year, I’ll never know.

Outside of the Big East, it's not like another conference has performed much better. There's just a lot of parity in basketball. Pac12 and Big10 are both completely done for the year.

SEC was good in basketball this year but I would say the big 12 and Big East were better. One team potentially in the final eight. Big 12 two, Big East two. How the hell FAU came back to beat UT is beyond me.

I would say the SEC plays a distinct style of basketball. Tough, physical, low scoring games are the norm in the SEC. But that style of play leaves SEC teams very vulnerable to hot shooting teams, because SEC teams just aren't built to keep pace in a shootout.

All it takes is one bad matchup with a team that gas a hot shooter or two to end a tourny run for most SEC teams.

SEC just needed shooters this year. I doubt many of the teams in the Sweet 16 could have survived a full conference season, but can’t go far in March without them.

Disagree. Tennessee lost Ziegler. Expectations for our recruits and injuries didn’t play out. And many SEC teams have beaten many good teams. We beat a 1 seed from the big 12. UConn is legit and there’s no shame in that. Surprised Tennessee has done so well without Ziegler. Not saying we’re the best conference. But we were among the best overall this year.

You wouldn’t have posted this if Arkansas hadn’t just got their shite pushed in by the Huskies.

The tourney is the toughest championship to win. You have to have a combination of luck, skill and get hot at the perfect time. Any day a basketball team can lose to a team they would beat 8/10 times, but in the tourney all you get is that one chance. One bad day of shooting and you’re fricked.

I seriously think UConn is the best team in the country. Have thought that all year.

Compared to who? Compared to the big 12? Well, nobody is. Compared to the pac 12? Big 10? Acc? Honestly y’all are probably #2 or #3 out of all the conferences. I would put y’all ahead of those 3 plus the big east, so #2.
