Speaking of Virginia, they have 14 points at the half.

SDSU is not going to be easy. Yale is not going to be easy. This is a championship tournament. We are really, really good but almost anything can happen in one game. 2018 UMBC would have lost to Virginia 99 out of 100 times

SDSU maybe, but I respectfully disagree about Yale.
They are a total mismatch against us. No depth inside and rely on a 4 guard lineup. Our defense, size, and depth should run their legs out from under them easily if we pound it inside and don't take stupid early shots from 3 range.
I say we win by 20+ easily, and probably more than that.

Yale played 7 players in their buzzer beater win against 13-18 Brown. One of those 7 only logged 10 minutes. If we push the ball on fast breaks and play tight off ball defense, I don't see us having much of a problem. As others have stated tho, it's march and anything can happen. Just gotta play our game.

Yeah the game plan should be smothering defensive pressure, frequent substitutions and "Run the Hell out of Yale"!

I think our Broome replacement just entered the portal. Cliff Omoruyi of Rutgers. He was between us and Rutgers out of HS. Makes a ton of sense.

Elite rim protector, just really a catch and finish guy on offense. He’d fit in nicely.

Looks like we would lose a few points based on his stats but everything else appears identical and could be a 10 point plus player due to the offense they play.

That's okay, with the backcourt next year, they will make up the difference...

Reading he is headed to St. Johns.

From article:
If Omoruyi does return to school, St. John’s is an early favorite for his services. The school is local for Omoruyi’s host family, is led by a Hall of Fame coach in Rick Pitino and has an interesting administrative connection: Matt Abdelmassih, who serves as the program’s general manager, was Omoruyi’s agent at Octogan when he tested the waters last offseason. It also helps that the Red Storm has a significant NIL source in billionaire alum Mike Repole, who committed to contribute “whatever it takes” to help the program this offseason.
