She sure as shite could coach the men’s team better than McMahon does

I've always wondered about the dynamic of college men being led by a woman. I think Mulkey and Summitt could command that respect as far as the game itself. Recruiting would be a different story.

X's and O's sure. Recruiting would be a disaster.

If anyone ever could have, it was Pat. Rumors were she had been offered the Men's job at UTK at least once (pre-Pearl, when the program was in a serious slump). Vols, any validity to that? I remember hearing about it when I was connected to the USC AD.

She’d need to cut it back to one carton a day.

After this season we might have to give it a try...

Has there ever been a super successful women's basketball coach that has had that translate to the men's game? Plenty of men are coaching women's basketball and I can't think of any making the transition.
Prove me wrong.

I'm sure they know the Xs and Os as well as many male coaches, but coaching goes way beyond that. I don't think a woman coach could build the same kind of relationships with CBB players as a man.
It just is what it is.

dont think she likes men very much

Some people just have it. She grew up playing baseball with the boys.
Sure the recruiting might take some time, but after she started winning that would be that.

I don't think the locker room dynamics would work out.

Nah. Most of us don't even want to hear a woman announcer call games the games. Could you imagine being coached by one? There would be no respect from the players.

If LSU wasn't full of bigots she would already be the Men's coach. Somebody contact HR.

Pat could absolutely have coached the men's team and done a significantly better job than Wade Houston/Kevin O'Neil/Buzz Peterson.
That being said, Pat was a far cry from Gloria Steinem but I don't think asking her to take over the men's program would have gone over too well.

I think Will Wade would be a fantastic women's coach as well
That might be his ticket back in

She's pretty, pretty good...

She would be my second choice behind Pat Summitt (RIP). Pat Summitt might be in the 800 club if she had coached men.
