shoulder to shoulder. the main issue is that stroud threw up a punt type pass and let his dude get laid out. kinda like when bryce young threw a poor pass and got williams acl torn.

That wasn't a poor throw. Williams caught the pass chest high facing Bryce.

He tore it making a cut after catching it.

I need to see a slow motion replay. That looked like a high hit to the head/neck area and would make sense considering he got knocked out

Not targeting at all. Football. It’s a rough sport.

I could care less if UGA ever wins another game and hope like hell they never win another one against LSU. Everything about that hit is what makes football great. It was a great recovery, the player led with his shoulder, he saw what he hit, it was violent, it was intimidating, it was clean, and it wouldve been a crime against the fabric of the game if it had been ruled illegal. Congrats on a great comeback win, good luck with TCU, and go frick yourself going into 2023.

Best post of this new year.

I would be fine with uga winning, if it weren’t for uga fans. If they win, they will be insufferable.

1. Y’all absolutely contributed to the monsters we’ve become with years of the “1980” retort
2. Literally every fanbase that wins big is insufferable. Have yet to meet one that you don’t kind of hate after they win it all

To the objective fans... what ya got, targeting or not?

Watched the replay. Looked legal to me. Not surprised a flag was thrown - any violent hits gets a flag now and they kick it to the booth. Shoulder to shoulder contact, did not lead to the head.

Kid can thank his QB for hanging him out to dry. Good effort by both the DB and WR.

No... old school and the guy would have speared him. Instead he just smeared him

It was Strouds fault throwing a jump all in the middle too, what did he think would happen on that duck

I’m almost positive stroud was throwing it away

Targeting is not what refs should have looked for
It was a personal foul penalty on a defense less receiver
Interpreting targeting has hurt the game
Targeting should be a separate penalty from personal foul

Absolutely not. Defender lead with his shoulder, turned his head away to ensure he lead with his shoulder, hit the receiver in the shoulder, and times the hit just as the ball got there and. It before or after.

Great hit. If that was targeting, the last play of the Michigan TCU game had to be targeting

I don't know how objective I am, but didn't feel like that was targeting.

Could not agree more. Way too many subjective rules now ... on legal hits, pass interference, etc...

Then you must hate the blindside blocking rule.
