I find interesting Georgia's offensive skill position recruiting and Ohio State's overall defensive recruiting. Big gap between 2nd and 3rd (UGA-Texas).

No QB
4* RB
4* WR x4 and 2 highly regarded transfers who led their respective SEC teams in receiving
4* TE x2 (and in a battle for another 5*)
That’s pretty solid imo. Would have liked another back and maybe an upgrade at wideout, but I doubt there are 3 schools that recruited better at offensive skill positions.

I will say the top 100 is a good indicator of who will really play the most but OL pos can be a little tricky you can’t always go by rankings there.

Scouting services have always had the hardest time evaluating oline

Just going by priority, we missed out on at least our top 2 running back targets and it might've gone deeper than that. Roderick Robinson might be the next Nick Chubb who knows, but it's hard to feel great about our running back recruiting when we swung and missed so much. Dell McGee usually doesn't swing and miss.

Yep, mostly because of the size/strength advantage they have in HS vs college. Once they get to college, all of them weigh -300lbs. But in college, many of those 300 lbers also run 40’s around 5>5.5 sec’s.

The only ranking i'm concerned with is how they rank in Kirby Smart's mind.
He saw a five star player in Jordan Davis when he was a three star in other peoples mind.

This. Very few OL have great technique AND size at the HS level. The few that do have both are obviously going to be rated the highest. Next comes the ones with mostly size since they’re likely dominating their opponents. Then comes the ones that may be 40+ lbs underweight and need to add to their frame, but exhibit good technique and execution (you’ll also hear things like “plays mean” or “possesses a nasty streak”)
Really depends how they develop at the next level and often some players that hit a bit of a growth spurt move to a position they weren’t playing/recruited at in HS (C -> IOL, IOL -> OT, IOL -> C, etc…)

Had a buddy who was a D1 lineman and spent some time in the league. Still about 6’8 280 after he was done. The guy could dance really well like it was actually hilarious going out with him because he could do all the trendy dances even when he was freaking huge. The footwork/flexibility/athleticism of top linemen is mind boggling.

CFB on a terminal descent to NASCAR doom.

Let's hope not, but interesting comment...

The national championship game was the third most watched championship game in America in 2022 - behind the Super Bowl and World Cup final. Stop.

They also took another RB 3*- I believe Daijun Edwards was a 3* and he has done well for UGA. Honestly, I think the guys aiming at getting the big numbers are looking elsewhere as UGA spreads the wealth on offense. It makes for a difficult offense to stop consistently, but doesn't produce many individual awards.

If you’re gonna post stats, at least post accurate numbers. Have no idea where you see we only have 5 top 250 players

I find the hardest thing to do is find great run and pass blocking OL. You usually get one or the other. Bama went to a more athletic smaller frame OL and it didn’t pay off the last two years. These OL at Bama in 21 and 22 can’t hold a candle to the tpevulious year. It seems like Bama started getting back to recruiting bigger stringer guys this cycle but I guess we will see. That why so many hit th e portal I hope.

If you are referring to the kid we flipped from NC State, Kyron Jones will be a DB in Athens, not a RB.

Alabama, USC, Texas, and Ohio State all seem to be in a tier above to me.
