Please pray for his family and friends at this time.

Coach Mike Leach passed away last night from complications related to a heart condition.

Wishing them peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow.

He will be missed.

IIRC I read something at the end of the season right after his last game about possible health concerns and that there was possibility he may not have returned. Coaching takes a toll on these guys.

He was, by far, the most interesting person in college football and one of the only coaches that would give you a real, non-coachspeak answer to a question. He will be missed.

RIP, and I hope his family finds some comfort in the following days.

Leach was like The Bear. He was impossible not to like and had a very unique personality. Old school qualities. Definitely miss him. Best coach Miss St had in a while.

Coach Leach was at football practice Saturday preparing for their upcoming bowl game.
Today, probably the most interesting, quirky characters in all sports has passed.
Prayers to Mike's family & the Mississippi State football family.

This hit home for me because of how it happened, and how things can take turn for worse just like that. I lost my father recently. We were laughing, joking and he talked about how he can't wait to get home and eat some good foods. 2 days later, he took turn for worst, and then a week later, he passed away. Cherish your family, friends and others as much as you can. This has been extremely tough year for me, losing my best friend, my childhood friend, and my father all in one year. Love on your folks. If you have someone you are angry with, forgive them. Just forgive without explantation. Sometime we bring peace to others without knowing that.

I’m so sorry for you loss. 11 years ago I lost my dad to cancer. It came on suddenly and it took him quick. He was only 46. I still miss him everyday.

Mike Leach was a crown jewel in this beautiful sport, I can't believe he's gone, hurts to hear, can't imagine what his family is feeling

We love you and RIP to the Pirate, Coach Leach

Truly one of a kind, a great loss for the sport.

It's truly baffling to see how big his coaching tree blooms, his finger prints are all over the sport.

He brought so much more to college football besides innovation in the passing game. He brought a sense of humor when pressure runs so high. RIP COACH #SwingYourSword
