This whole ordeal sounds a lot like what happened to Tom Petty.
A reported medical event at Tom’s house. He’s alive, he’s not alive, he’s alive but has no brain function. Then the inevitable.
I hope for Leach and his family, none of the speculations are true.

I've had some downtime this morning due to a sick kiddo so I've binged some Leach soundbites. I've figured out why I like Mike so much. He really reminds me of the dean of the econ department who was my mentor in college. He had a huge impact on my life.

I'm not sure that Mike Leach would want a 60+ page thread focusing on his condition and his career to get derailed with a bunch of political junk.

The pirate can’t sail off like this. What an icon in the sport. His coaching tree turned the Big12 into the craziest offensive conference in the country. The air raid still has a huge influence in the state of Texas. He also loved disappointing the hopeful college station folk.

Been a fan of the man since his OC days. He pulled off one of the all time greatest pranks in an OU v. Texas game by planting a fake play set list in pregame warmups to frick with Texas’ defensive calls and OU was able to go up 17-0 in the first quarter. The man genuinely had fun in his job as a coach. Hate the thought of College Football without Mike Leach.

This is a very sad situation. Natural though death may be, it doesn’t make it easier on this left behind. Seems very grim at this point.
