This article is about 4 years old and lists the richest town in each state based on median income. As a Louisiana resident, I was disappointed and realized just how poor this state is when I saw the richest town here. Post some pictures of the richest town in your state. I'll include some wonderful photos of Zachary.

There is zero chance this is accurate. Mandeville certainly has higher numbers across the board.

Bellaire is basically Chinatown now.
I’d say it would be Highland Park in Texas.
I’d say it would be Highland Park in Texas.

Between 2019 and 2020 the population of Highland Park, TX declined from 9,168 to 9,143, a -0.273% decrease and its median household income grew from $211,136 to $218,611, a 3.54% increase. Figured Madison would take Alabama too. The one right outside Huntsville

Isn’t Highland Park in Dallas and thus a neighborhood? If we go by neighborhoods I’ve got to think it’s in Palm Beach Florida.

Everything I can find says you're right:
quote:
The average annual household income in Mandeville is $123,716, while the median household income sits at $76,768 per year.
Of course, we're full though

ETA: I take that back. Youngsville claps us

In 2020, Youngsville, LA had a population of 14.1k people with a median age of 33.4 and a median household income of $95,925

Mountain Brook has one of the highest populations in this list and the percentage of incomes over $200K is almost a third. A lot of these towns listed are very small or have a low percentage of incomes above that amount. The stats for Bellaire, Texas are very impressive compared to every other place on this list.

For texas, it is definitely highland park. Matt Stafford went there for high school.

Yeah, Bentonville and Sherwood are easily richer than Tontitown. Probably Hot Springs Village (not to be confused with Hot Springs) and maybe even Conway or Searcy too.

Highland Park is a city. It’s a rich enclave of Dallas but it has its own police, fire, government, etc.
Posted on 11/29/22 at 7:56 pm to Ramblin Wreck
Highland Park’s median household income is 200k

Madison is definitely richer than Brandon. This list is all jacked up.

Idk exactly what constitutes a town vs a city vs a neighborhood but highland park on a map appears to be an annexed town within Dallas. It does however have its own zip code, ISD, police dept., fire dept. etc. I dont know how it wouldnt be considered a city unless there was population limits on this list.

I’m pretty sure Tega Cay has passed Sullivans Island in terms of median income for SC. The beachfront properties skew Sullivans’ numbers. I’m frankly curious on how Kiawah and Seabrook’s numbers were calculated since a lot of their properties are vacation/2nd homes. A lot of wealth is based in SC these days

Really? I can think of a lot of places that would meet that definition before Bellaire. A quick google shows Sugar Land has twice the percentage of Asians as Bellaire and is five times bigger overall.

No doubt, this is the correct answer.
Not to highjack, but I moved out of Sugar Land a few years ago and had the same Asian neighbor the 20 years I lived there. Absolute best neighbors in the world. We invited them to our end of year school bash each year and after year 3 they started coming pretty much every year. Brought an expensive gift EVERY time. One year it was Japanese silk kimonos for my two daughters, another it was a $300 bottle of sake.

And you'd be correct.I googled Johns Creek 2020 census and their household income was 127k.Dont know who put the list together but it's incorrect and there's probably more places than just Johns Creek.

ETA Brookhaven also has a higher household income
Decatur as well and much higher home values.
