How do you leave out SEC East champ Ga at 12-1 that has two top ten wins?

How do you leave out the SEC champ LSU at 11-2 with the most top ten wins of anyone 3?

None of the other conference contenders has a win over an OOC powerhouse team like Ga does over Oregon.

None of the other conference contenders currently has two top ten wins like Tenn.

And no one would have 3 top ten wins like LSU with a conference title.

In all honesty, if LSU beats Ga, 3 SEC teams would have better resumes than anyone outside of the SEC.

LSU is making the case for a 12 team playoff.

If we win the SEC and get left out I’m fine with it. Don’t lose to FSU and Tennessee. It’ll leave a bad taste in our mouths and put the team on a mission next year.

Agreed but I am fine with it, Georgia is a poor matchup for Tennessee so I don’t think they would have a legitimate shot at winning the playoff with a poor defense. If Tennessee wins out and misses the playoffs, it’s still been a great year. I can live with it

Chicken said it best:

IF LSU wins out, you can't say head to head matters with LSU/Tennessee and then dismiss it when it comes to LSU/Georgia.

yes, maybe something this whole cesspool can agree on

We’re going to have to wait for the playoffs to expand before we see 3 SEC teams in a 4 team playoff though.

TurdTongueTiger

This is fantasy land.

LSU will have 3 losses.

Tenner will have 1.

UGA will have none.

I like an eight-team playoff. Tennessee is better than USC, Oregon, Michigan, and TCU. None of those teams deserve to get in over Tennessee, but it LSU wins in Atlanta, they are champions of the strongest conference in America. One could argue that Ole Miss and Alabama should be in the mix as well for having only two losses. I truly believe that the four best teams in the country are in the SEC. The current four-team playoff allows the wrong teams to play for championships.

If we beat UGA it would be a monumental upset, but even if we do there's no way they let three SEC team in.

I just don’t see Tennessee getting in as bad as would for them to. I think if usc gets in if they win out or TCU if they win out. We all still have 2 games left anything could happen especially with this cold weather sneaking in. If a team doesn’t show up and play and losses what they should have easily won.

It’s called winning your conference.

It’s not that hard to understand, really.

1 loss and a P5 Conf title is better than 1 loss without one…. And no matter how you slice it..

UT will have played 9 P5 teams, while USC will have played 11, Clemson played 11, TCU , 11. UNC would be 10.

So more wins, same losses, more p5 games, p5 championship.

It’s really not that hard to understand

It is called not winning your division or conference.
If Tennessee wins out , they are a top four team but barring a collapse by UGA, they will be behind them.
Then the winner of Ohio State/Michigan will be ahead of them.
An undefeated TCU will be ahead of them.
Then a one loss USC or Clemson/UNC or a two loss LSU will be ahead of them.

Pretty much sucks for Tennessee but unless chaos comes (and that is very possible this year), they will be out of the playoff.

As a Vol I am pretty certain we will not get in. But it’s ok because our team has far exceeded our expectations for the year when we was expecting 2 to 3 loses.

Easy

Didn’t win their division
Didn’t win their conference

If TCU and USC win out it will probably be

SEC champ
B1G champ
TCU
USC

Should LSU win out, there’s a fair chance USC stays home and both Georgia and LSU make it. Georgia will have won their division, and be the defending champions. 2 pretty big pluses in their column.

No matter what else happens (save Georgia dropping a game before the SECCG which won’t happen), if LSU wins out the stinking Vols are eliminated.

The stinking Vols have a chance, but they need a lot of help. I’m not sure they stay ahead of a 1-loss ACC champ.
