Bryce was WAY off last night

Lets not forget that Bryce looked possibly the worst I have ever seen him. His NFL value has decreased. Someone said he could be back next year. We scored at least 1 TD on more of that 'back yard football-Manziel' stuff. But he also threw an int trying the same stuff. He just made bad decisions and missed open targets.

He's prob. 70% healthy. Still going top five.

He's playing through an injury and still threw for over 300 yards.

And to counter that, we abandoned the run and threw the ball 51 times.

I think he’s hurt. Last night wasn’t him just being “off”. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s aggravated the shoulder and has some sort of surgery in the next couple weeks.

He’s obviously still injured

Anyone know if we have a fb on the team? Or if Bob knows what going under center means?

I agree. There's gotta be a lingering injury. Ive never seen his throws look so bad

We had been using Ouzts as a FB, but I can't recall the last time I saw him on the field.

The guy is hurt, trying to play through pain and his moron of an OC can't even run a bit more or scheme easier pass options, especially on the red zone.
That interception on the first drive came back to haunt us. We could have ran a similar play to what Brian Kelly ran on that two-point conversion...
Instead we drop him back and make him play houdini

I agree. He is giving everything he has and is playing hurt. I have no complaints whatsoever about his effort. Bryce rarely has a clean pocket to throw from, his receivers run into coverage, or run the wrong routes, and if they can manage to get open, often drop the ball. He has one of the worst OC coordinators I have ever seen. O’Brien cannot adjust to anything he sees defensively, and has no idea how to use his personnel. But Bryce, I have nothing but major respect for. Without his play, we lose at least 2 games more already this year, and 4-5 last year.

He’s short. They wanted to get pressure up the middle and move the pocket back to affect his accuracy. Saw teams do this to Drew Brees before.
It worked.

We have been on BOB hard the past 24 hours, but it's entirely possible that we have been limited to BYs throwing ability. Very few long downfield attempts last night, but we really should have tried many more.
Perhaps BY just can't make those throws at this time

He would improve his value if he came back and we hired a hot OC in the Sark-Kiffin mold who can also develop passers. What Kiffin did with Blake Sims remains the most amazing job of QB development I've ever seen.
If he comes back and BoB is back, his value could actually drop farther than it is now.

I think his throwing ability is fine. I think he's been limited by our receivers' poor skills at running precise routes and getting open, along with play calling and schemes. Many have mentioned rolling him out. I have no idea why we can't do that. It plays into his strengths.

Watching Tua and the Dolphins. Tua's arm strength and snap on the ball is light years ahead of BY.
Makes me mad just thinking about Saban leaving him in the Miss St game when the outcome had already been determined.

I think he is fine injury wise. Bama hasn't been practicing him and he lost his timing with the receivers.
He got much better as the game went on as his timing got better. Tua was the same way in the 19 loss to LSU.

That was Tua's idea to run that 2 minute deal before halftime and Nick allowed him to change his mind and the rest is history.

This is infuriating. With Gibbs, McKellen, and Williams.... There is just no excuse. Also, I'm tired of Bryce bouncing around in the pocket trying to be Patrick Mahomes. That interception he threw in the end zone was awful. "Bryce is like Steph Curry tossing no look passes". No.... He is qb Bryce Young who just threw a gross interception.
