They are convinced its either Mullens or Kiffin. Personally I hope its Mullens. That guy is a head case..........This whole scenario down there has the recipe for disaster. And do they have like 3 ex-head coaches on payroll now?

Their probable new AD from MSU is tight with Mullen.

They're not going to be happy with anyone they'd be willing to hire

Do you remember Mullen's press conferences? They were like watching someone have a slow mental breakdown. And doesn't he hate to recruit as well? Mullen lost 1-2 games per year just on bad decisions....I really like the direction this is going. By the time Texas and Oklahoma get in the SEC, Barn will be a solid middle to lower tier team, struggling to be competitive in their division..........Kiffin should probably hold out for a more big-time job unless they throw the check book at him, which I doubt they can afford.

I don't think Auburn is a better job than OM right now and Lane is already making a ton of money. Mullen would be a disaster after Harsin already gutted their roster.

I know where they can get a lightly used Bill O'Brien. I'm talking near mint condition. Terrific price if they're willing to haggle.

Unless it's someone with enough nuts to come in and tell the power brokers to frick off and keep writing checks it won't matter who it is.

We should know we went thru it after Bear

And Nick Saban and Urban Meyer are the only two who have the kind of authority to accomplish that... neither are going to Auburn

Based on everything I hear from people, I don't know how this guy keeps landing jobs. Watching him be a head coach would be painful.

We all know who it needs to be.

Here is a hint:

No clue who it will end up being but I'm hoping for a long, painful, contentious internal struggle between Auburn boosters and the new AD resulting in another milquetoast hire that sets them back another 5 years.

Sans a nerve racking IB last year, Harsin was quite the present for Alabama fans. ( And other schools, too)

I believe it will be Bill Clark, only if he wants back in the game.

Auburn isn't smart enough to hire Bill Clark.

Oh please, don’t take our OC, please Auburn, whatever you do, don’t take Bill!! He’s our future head coach, he’s got NFL experience, he’s awesome, but I’m begging you please don’t take him!! It would devastate the Alabama program for years, decades even, especially if you took Pete Golding with him… I shudder to think what would become of our team without these innovative geniuses!!!

Don’t do that to us and get those bragging rights about how you “took our guy.” We’d never recover, mentally or athletically.

By the way, they can be reached at 205-348-3600.

It's not that Auburn is a better job than Ole Miss, it's that NIL is better at Auburn. It wouldn't surprise me to see Auburn be the next TAMU or Miami.

Won’t be Lane. IMO he’s cool with winning 8-10 games per year in Oxford for a few years before taking over for Saban and making the real money. Going to AU could ruin his career.

Correct. If he has any desire for the Bama job after Saban, he won't go to Auburn. No chance in hell that we hire a former barn coach.

Barn board said they fired "Brad Bedell, Brad Larrondo, Eric Kiesau and Darren Uscher"......Guess they are throwing in the towel on this season, who is gonna coach?
