If Sankey has a new above ground swimming pool with a snazzy pine deck we’ll know Freeze is Plains-bound.

I think the reason Freeze was not allowed on staff for Saban was a NCAA show cause for a certain amount of time. Not sure the length, but I think that has been served and hence why his name is being thrown about.
Sort of like the issue with Pruitt and the shite storm from UT. Until that is cleared up, he won't be back in college ranks until that is remedied.

I have been holding out hope for a Pruitt DC and Freeze OC at Bama since Sark left.

I can’t imagine Lane going to Auburn just because he wouldn’t be able to dickride Saban anymore.

Nope. His show cause was only for 1 year. It had expired.
It was purely optics and the SEC being butthurt that over the scandal

I believe it was because Ole Miss would still have been suffering from sanctions from Hugh’s tenure at that time, while coaching at another SEC school. Bad optics. That was not kosher for Sankey.
