I like Chris a lot . He is good at basketball too. However , Eli has prolly earned the right to go out on his terms whenever that happens to be

I love JPW's facial reaction to the play. The boy is a bammer through and through.

No….you’re not alone. Chris does an excellent job bringing energy to the broadcast. It’s not even a comparison on who is better. JPW also has better chemistry with Chris.
Eli has had his time. Give him a Gold watch, thank him for his service, and set him up with some cushy CTSN role if he wants it, but it’s time to turn the page.

Jpw has one of those pens with the 4 different colors and the clicker up to. Always wanted one of those.

Chris Stewart is much better at Basketball than Football for me, at least so far. Maybe he’ll grow into the role. His Basketball play by play is excellent. If you watch videos of him doing BB Play by Play his talent shines through.

I realized during the Arkansas game that Christian Miller is now the sideline reporter for CTSN.

Anyone who follows basketball has known how good Chris is and have been waiting for this day. I don't know Gold's health, but he is probably questioning some things as he watches this call make the rounds today.
JPW is such a cool cat. He casually strutted by me in Austin a few weeks ago on gameday just strolling up to the stadium with shades and airpods in. I thought those guys would get a golf cart drop off at the door.

Of course not. Chris Stewart has always been great calling other sports and it is zero surprise that he is far better than Eli.

Eli is horrible. At least I can now listen to the radio broadcast and understand what’s going on; aside from keen descriptions of uniform colors and “football shoes”.

Never been an Eli fan either. Always find his yardage after a play changed when he calls down and distance before the next snap. Also, doesn’t give the score nearly often enough. If you tune in mid game, it takes forever to get a score.

Never thought Eli was that good either...I also don't know that Eli truly loves Alabama...I think it lands more on the "it's my job" kind of love...I think Chris LOVES Bama.

Chris is supremely better. Love Eli but it’s time to pass the baton.

Anyone that doesn’t think Eli loves Alabama needs to go back and listen to the 1989 Penn State blocked field goal game! He is an absolute legend.

His calls have been declining for the past several years and now he has health issues. If he’s not mentally aware that he is no longer fit to call games then no, he shouldn’t be able to go out on his own terms. We don’t need a bumbling Corso situation calling games in BDS.
That said, I’d be shocked if he didn’t hand it over to Chris permanently after this year.

JPW in hindsight is one of my favorite players ever at Alabama.

Eli's a legend in his own right. However, whether it's baseball, basketball or football, C.Stewart is as good as it gets on the call.

He very well may turn it over after this year and it will be in good hands with Chris , however , I don’t think the orthopedic issues Eli has will affect his ability to call games from a mental standpoint

JPW needed Nick to come to Bama in 2006 then again all of needed that.

It was a big play, he should have been excited, but the color guy, I believe Doug Layton, was the one most giddy. Again, I think he loves the job....
This is a good article about him getting the job...

I really thought Paul Kennedy was really good! And felt he loved Alabama.
