Get ready sec, they are soon to be your problem. And this is the kind of crap from them you should get used to.
Not only did they lobby the big12 to penalize horns down cause it hurt their feelings. Not only did they vow to never play aggy again cause they had the rudness to leave and turn their back on Texas and go to the sec. Not only did they bitch to the big12 about Texas Tech storming the field and have the school fined. But now they no longer want to schedule Tech cause the fans are big meanies.
Take your little ball and go home.

For a program that wants a guarantee of a home-and-home series with the Texas Longhorns, the Texas Tech administration and its fan base did itself no favors.
According to one high-ranking Texas official, what they witnessed first-hand from Texas Tech fans and administration on Saturday was “totally pathetic.”
Throwing stuff (and not just tortillas) on the field year after year, letting fans run amok after a win, enough so to cheap shot an opposing player from behind, not to mention fans taunting players on the field following the game, all of it combined is not something Texas officials will ask of or expect their players to be party to in the future.
You can’t blame Texas officials for that.

Probably one of the worst things about Texas coming to the SEC is constantly being "warned" by Texas A&M fans while they ear rape people with stories of why Texas is so bad.

Every FBS program that storms the field is fined. Like Texas a&M was fined $100,000 (twice as much as Texas Tech's fine) last year when they stormed the field after they beat Bama.

Why would we want to associate ourselves with that when we're leaving the league? And why would Texas want to keep playing Tech in non-conference when there are better matchups available.
Much like Colorado vs. Colorado State, it's essentially a lose-lose scenario for Texas no matter what.
Basketball and baseball are different, and I for one would be happy to see the teams continue to play once Texas is in the SEC. But if they never met again, I can't say I'd be too upset about not having to deal with their overly-rabid fanbase again.

To be fair, their fans do suck. Plus Lubbock is in the middle of nowhere in a place so desolate it rains mud. The only way I want to play Tech again is at a neutral site game in a dome in Arlington, Houston, or San Antonio.

Yea, because the overall 54-18 record, or the fact that the entire Texas Tech athletic department has 2 national championships to its name all time, or the fact that Texas Tech football has literally never finished a season ranked in the top 10 just screams "must-see matchup"
