CFB/SEC is better when Tennessee is in the picture

Not here to troll - I welcome the downvotes etc. but the SEC and CFB is better off when UT has a strong team. I understand our top 10 ranking is probably pre-mature - but I am going to enjoy this. Our fanbase has been through absolute hell the last 15 years and it feels good to have meaningful games coming up.
LSU game will be a real challenge regardless of the time they kick off - if we can pull one out in 2 weeks we will have a potential top 5 or 6 showdown with Bama and the 3rd Saturday in October will be what it should be.
I am not sure how this season will play out - but if Hooker remains healthy - we have a legit shot to beat anyone on any given day. This also won't be a 1 year fluke with the future players we have coming in. The SEC is about to get a lot more interesting than it has the last 2 years because LSU will be in the picture soon as well with BK.

No shite you think this, and no I dont think its a troll....
that said, youre a vol fan. youre going to think this.
When SC made the top 10 I thought the SEC was better for it....was it...probably not

Maybe, maybe not. However, it would be nice for Georgia to not have an absolute cake walk to a semi-home game in the SECCG for the foreseeable future though.

I'm down with this. Been a long time coming.

I can't wait till November rolls around and we won't have to worry about all these Vol threads anymore.

Tennessee future looks very bright. I agree that a strong Tennessee makes for a better SEC overall. Just need to get Auburn right and tBigSix will be fully engaged.

It certainly helps the East side of things. And about time.

In the picture but still losing the big games. Think UGA in the 90’s.

I agree that UT is back to being relevant this year. Hopefully they can sustain it. Most of the teams (sans Bama) know how tough it is to be a top team year in and year out. UGA has found the recipe and I fully expect LSU to be back in it within the next couple of years. The east needs to have some step up and challenge yearly and not just when they catch lightening in a bottle

Sec is best when lsu smacks tenn down.

Nobody watching football for the last 25 years would even know that to be true

Nobody gives a frick about Tenn except Tenn.

I alwasy hate posts like this becuase they are so wildly incorrect. CFB doesn't "need" any team, what it needs is parity. I guarandamntee you that in the 90s when UF and UT were smacking the rest of the league around for about a decade there were folks saying "man the SEC really needs bama to be good again" and now look at where we are. I guarantee you that back in pete carroll's heyday when it looked like nobody else in the pac could ever hope to challenege USC again, nobody would ever guess that 15 years later we'd be saying "man CFB really needs USC to be good again".
It gets old watching bama/OSU/clemson be in teh top 5 every single year. UT being down has nothing to do wiht that though. Pepole would love it for ANYONE new to start challenging those teams regularly. IT has nothing to do with tennessee.

Yes. I know it's strange from a Bama fan but UT is my second favorite team. I look forward to them getting back up to par.

Their wondering through the desert has contributed to the SECE being a joke.

ANY strong team in the East is a welcome thing to at least give a hint that GA actually has to work to make it to Atlanta. Whether TN is strong remains to be seen, but they are BETTER than they used to be.

I don't think it is specifically Tennessee, but the SEC is more interesting when more Big 6 teams are good. When 2/3 of the Big 3 in either division is down, the conference loses some interest and becomes more like the Big 10 or ACC.

Strange how we all feel CFB is better when our team is strong.
Last year was the best year for CFB ever IMO.
