Just got back in from the game. Great atmosphere, awesome innings from all pitchers and Pinckney is a stud. That throw from RF had to have been 95+.
Feel like we should be hosting at this point. Have to think today gave us a boost and hurt UT and UK, who we may have been competing with. Good day.

That throw from RF was absurd. And on wet turf where you aren't sure you'll get great footing off your back foot.
Just crazy.
Just crazy.

These fans who made it to BHAM need to show up next week. Good crowd

Very good crowd. Not packed out but the weather was iffy for a lot of the day and it rained pretty good leading into our scheduled game time. I’d like to think tomorrow would be one of those outrageous crowds.

It'd be nice if Missouri beat Auburn tonight.

Crazy question. What was the guy who was our highest rated recruit (SS ) in a long time who got into trouble and transferred to chipola CC? Where did he end up ?

Myles Austin transferred to Chipola then to Wabash Valley for another JUCO season and is now at University of New Orleans and is a reserve player.

I’m telling you guys. This team is playing a special brand of ball right now. They are getting lights out pitching and are hitting the ball really well. They are in the zone.
This is shaping up to be a special post season. These guys have no fear.

What a night in Hoover! Great crowd that showed the guys some love. Awesome showing by Furtado and Pinckney doing Pinck things. Go get the Gators today!
Furtado’s Impressive Start Helps Baseball to 4-0 Win over 25th-Ranked Kentucky
The Tide starter tossed 5.0 scoreless frames to help the Tide blank the Wildcats
Alabama baseball used an impressive start from Hunter Furtado to secure a 4-0 shutout victory over 25th-ranked Kentucky on Tuesday night at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. With the win, the 24th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 39-17 on the season and advances to the double-elimination round of this year's Tournament.
Furtado (1-1) put together his most impressive outing in the crimson and white. The sophomore tossed 5.0 scoreless frames with only two hits and two walks to go with a pair of strikeouts. He turned the ball over to Kade Woods, who contributed 2.0 innings, with Alton Davis II closing out the final 2.0 frames for the shutout victory.
Alabama's offense was led by Andrew Pinckney who got the Tide on the board in the fourth with a two-run opposite field home run. Pinckney finished 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored while adding a double to go with the homer. Ed Johnson also recorded a multi-hit effort, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base.
From Interim Head Coach Jason Jackson
"We got a huge start from (Hunter) Furtado. We got a huge home run from (Andrew) Pinckney. Pitching, hitting and I thought we played really good defense. It was a pretty clean game overall. I was proud of our guys for the way they played. They've been awesome."
