How do we split the carries when Johnson comes back?

Sanders has earned the right to be our feature back.

Green and Dubinon have looked great.

Is Johnson going to be relegated to situational carries until there’s an injury or someone fumbles? Does he automatically slide ahead of Green and Dubinon based on last year?

Good problem to have. I’ve always though you need 4 capable RB’s if you want to be a running team in the SEC.

Just means Hornsby will get less caries. No need to worry there, right?

Might mean less Haselwood reverses.

Dubinion probably becomes the odd man out just for lack of a track record. But I still think he'll get like 3 carries a game.

I'd like to give Dom about 5-8 of the carries that KJ has been getting so far just so he doesn't have to take so many hits. I'm fine with running Jefferson about 10 times a game but 18 is a lot.

That’s the only part of Briles play calls I hate. This isn’t 2006. We don’t have 250 lbs LBs, we have 210 lb LBs that are quicker.

Yeah a lot of the calls dubinion has been getting are plays that went to dom last year like the full back dive after the receiver motion. We ran that against SCAR and it was the same play we ran against Texas last year

... but they've largely worked? I like them

Haselwood is a talented runner

He also had a really nice sidestep of a linebacker on that play

I have no problems with Briles trying to get Haselwood more touches

I don't think so. If we are bulldozing then he will split evenly with Sanders at worst. DJ has excellent vision and runs hard.

No one on this team brings the physicality like Johnson. He will get his carries.

Dubinion to potentially redshirt at this point

Give me Sanders' speed over Johnson. I hope he just gets a few carries but not a ton

I'd like to see KJ get zero carries this week

Distribute the ball, go into halftime and take the shoulder pads off for the rest of the day

Dubinion redshirting would be nice to stagger out the RBs a little more.

You don’t normally redshirt good RBs but we did with Dom and not every team has this deep of a RB room.

Johnson and Rocket can feed off each other. their skillsets are divserse enough to use both effectively. It'll also be terrific to have johnson back for pass blocking. He just likes to hit people so it's kind of a win win for everyone.

Nice yes but unrealistic at this point I think. In the few carries he’s gotten, he’s already shown he’s talented enough to contribute right now. He was making some Alex Collins/Felix Jones type moves that sent defenders flying the other way tackling nothing but air. He’s too talented to be left out of the rotation going forward.

I still like Green but Sanders proved last week he has been putting in the work and looked better running up the middle. Johnson is a bruiser but more upside with Green/Dubinion in both run and pass game

Even with the flashes he has shown, I believe we need to redshirt Dubinion if possible. I have also heard he needs to work on his pass blocking.
