To my naked eye they look great, but I know Jack shite about O-Line.

All I know. We have one BAMF at Qb.

These aren't the Steve Spurrier Cackalacky D-lines, but we played very well regardless.
More importantly, the improved a lot and fixed some of the mistakes they did from week 1. If that doesn't happen from week 1 to 2, you have a problem.

They look good, but our QB sneak package is one of the worst I've ever seen.
Our OL doesn't move the DL on that specific play for some reason. KJ just snaps the ball and is stuck in the mud. We have to improve that.

He did lose weight.

Really I thought it worked well. Only one we didn’t get was one we should’ve went with another play it was almost 2 yards away. We still got about a yard and a half on it and was just barely short. That’s all you can ask for on that play.

Our line is really good at running zone, but not as good running straight up power vs SEC bodies on the D lines.
KJ is also not that good at reading where to hit on the QB sneak. He's going right behind the center a lot, when he should be tucking and going behind the guard. I hope they get it fixed. They just need to watch all the Tom Brady tape they can on the sneak.
As for the line overall, yes, they are pretty good at run blocking, but their pass blocking is not the best. If KJ wasn't a wizard on his feet, we would have quite a few sacks on obvious drop backs.
Basically the line is full of mauler types. I'd still like to see what a guy like Ty Crawford could bring to the line but he hasn't played hardly at all yet.

I’ve been surprised at how little we’ve substituted on offense in general. Expected Sategna to at least play a few snaps. But I guess when you run the hurry up as fast as we do you really can’t do that. I think Jaedon Wilson played today some though.

KB is gonna get KJ killed with all the QB designed runs.

The Arkansas OL is good but not great right now. Pass blocking is a weakness and stunts up front by the DL really seem to confuse them.
I’m hoping it will get cleaned up. KJ takes enough hits on called plays, he doesn’t need to take any extra hits on passes.

I wonder if Briles doesn’t trust KJ to sit back and throw regularly or if it’s simply not in his comfort zone as a playcaller.
Every time I watch KJ I think that he is a plus SEC passing qb but the playcalling would imply that the coaches don’t necessarily agree. I could see KJ wondering if he needs a year in a more advanced passing scheme to reach his full potential.

I mean he’s thrown for over 300 yards in some games under briles. These first 2 games of the season didn’t call for that since we’ve been able to run the ball at will. He was 18/21 yesterday and should have been 19/21 if landers doesn’t drop the ball when he’s wide open.

We have a top five most well-coached offensive line in America
there are some physical limitations however. Big Dalton got absolutely smoked on one play by the right side DE for Carolina, who sacked KJ
Big Dalton has taken a beating in his four/five years. He was moving as fast as he could, and it wasn't slow, but still got smoked. That Carolina DE was damn good.

That was a beautiful play call and it was beautifully executed until the drop. I’d say we see that start to be completed in a week or two.

KJ read the blitz perfectly

Some issues in pass protection but USC has a great DE and Cincy has a very solid D-line.
Running the ball we have some absolute beasts on the line. My slow, drunken, and mildly arthritic butt could have gained 4-5 yards on some of those runs. When you combine that with a deep RB position and a solid running QB... we are going to get after some folks with the run this year.
Sneaks are a bit of an issue. In part, I think, because KJ trust his raw physical power just a bit too much.

What I came to say. Our run blocking is great, pass blocking, not so much.
