It's Cristobal. But Saban is going to win 2 more national championships before that.

Depends on the loss. To an unranked Opponent? Yes. We’ve only lost to one of those since ‘07 and it was to an aTm team that was better than their record. Any coach that doesnt win 10 games at Alabama in this day and age deserves to be lit on fire

Please, dear Lord, let this be true

They really weren't, though. That's why it was such an embarrassing loss, and a total anomaly for their program. There's a reason everyone compares it to the 2010 South Carolina game.

Saban will probably coach until he feels he just doesn’t have it anymore. That means when he quits Alabama will be slumping, and expecting a near-peak Saban quality replacement. These are reasons why following a legend is generally a bad idea. You want to be the second guy.

Indy was an embarrassing loss because a 2 star walk on out played bama’s heisman winning qb on the biggest stage when it counted.
Blew out those Gumps too!

Even Bear Bryant said Florida was more fertile ground. Bama will be what Georgia Tech was 100 years ago when that time comes.

By the time Bama reaches GT or UF levels, the entire state of Florida will be underwater.

Leave our coach alone. Jesus. Other people like having nice things too.

An 80 year old coach with no hopes of doing something else with his life? Hard to believe. Even Jackie Wayne Sherrill woke up one day and said he needs to enjoy life before it is gone. Jimmy Johnson was the same.

Florida is a better job. Its not like theyre a school you can go poach. They will pay to keep a successful coach.

It all starts with talent evaluation and he had nfl talent at ull
Let that sink in
He pulled nfl talent at a sun belt school
He still needs to upgrade Fla roster for depth
Now we will find out if he can outsmart the sec top tier soon enough

The Gardner kid that was playing CB for LSU looked pretty damn good. Torrence and Johnson that went with Billy to Florida are next level players as well.

Saban actually enjoys what he does. He gets self esteem from seeing his players grow up and succeed and come back and thank him. He likes being their daddy. He also likes getting his arse kissed by everyone associated with CFB.

I always lol at ppl who think a coach is going to build up a program just to leave n start over at another equal school.
That’d be like Saban leaving for Texas yrs ago when they came callin

He isn't anywhere close to earning that job.

This is such a tired argument. The HOPE is that nobody will want the job. Alabama is not Texas Tech or Baylor where 10 win seasons are celebrated. Whether you follow Saban or are 6 coaches removed from Saban, you will be expected to win national Championshps. Alabama's expectations weren't created by Saban, they were created by Frank Thomas, carried on by Wallace Wade and Bryant. Bill Curry was 2 coaches removed from Bryant and was shown the door after a 10-2 SEC championship season. The coach that is 3, 4 or 10 removed from Saban will not have lowered expectations.

He has coached one game in the SEC. Might want to slow your roll a little bit.

No way any reasonably intelligent coach would follow a legend. It is damn near a lead pipe cinch that the next 2 or 3 coaches will fail at Bama. Look how many coaches they went through before they found a satisfactory replacement for The Bear? This isn't just peculiar to Bama either. Has Texas found a replacement for Daryl Royal? How about it Arky, have y'all found the next Frank Broyles yet? I say maybe, but not a given. Saban and Kirby are the only 2 right now that have a legit shot at being the GOAT at their current programs.
